HOUSE 3 - Sharon Carter - Day 46; evening
She knocks quickly at the door, a few things brought with her. There's a copy of the banishing sigil, along with a decent sized container full of...well, salt. It might seem bizarre, but don't worry Sharon - she'll explain everything.

She opens the door and relaxes when she sees Anna, the closest thing she has to a friend in this town outside the Doctor, Logan, and- and did the Avengers count?
"Anna." She moves aside to let her inside. She glances at the things Anna has brought, but to all appearances, it doesn't seem that Sharon has seen them at all.

"How's things? Do I need to remotivate you any time soon, or have you still got that fighting spirit?" Her comment comes with a slightly teasing grin, and she sets her things down on the table before slipping her hands into her pocket. "I know you can handle yourself, but I thought you might want a few tips and tricks for how to deal with the people from my neck of the woods. Just in case."
And by just in case she means 'just in case any of my siblings decide to take their less than fuzzy feelings towards me out on any of my friends', but she isn't likely to say that in so many words.

She holds up a hand in appeasement. "I'm good. No slapping necessary." As Anna continues, Sharon smiles. She wasn't entirely sure what to expect when Anna had walked in, and she doesn't know how Anna expected her to react to it, but the reality of the situation is that she's pleased. She'll get to learn about another universe, learn how to deal with some
peoplebeings from that universe, and most importantly, she'll be able to feel - however temporarily - as if she's actually doing something."Teach me, teacher."

"First thing's first: salt. It sounds weird, I know, but a salt line will keep demons out. Put it along the bottom of your door and along the entirety of your window sill at night, and that's one thing you can check off your list as not being able to get in. Demons possess human bodies, so if you're ever unsure, say 'Christo'. Flinch at the name of God, sounds like a bad joke but what works works."
And now she's just going to take a moment to see how Sharon is taking all of that. Anna's world is vastly different from hers, after all. It's understandable if it's a lot to take in.

"How does the salt work? Just... Are they allergic to it or something? And how long can it last?"
Cristo. God, is there any science or logic to this at all? Not that she won't try. She doesn't have to understand a weapon to use it, but she can use it better if she understands it.

Anna knew this was going to be an issue that came up eventually, and she offers a faint smile of reassurance and she sets the drawing down on the table before tapping the center of it. "It creates a barrier they can't cross, not an allergic reaction. This is my world, Sharon, not yours. Things don't work the same way."
She lets out a soft huffed laugh under her breath as she says it, but it doesn't get much easier to explain than that. There's no technical details that she can hash out to make this easier for Sharon to process, it's just the mythology that the creatures of their world are bound to.
"This is a banishing sigil. It's for angels, not demons. This is a worst case scenario situation, I don't know what it'll do here but I doubt it'll buy you much time. If you ever have to use this, call me. It's more grim than the salt, though."
no subject
"Okay, so I'll call you if I have an angel problem. And if I have a demon problem, I'll call you and just... wait under siege?" She looks up from the diagram on the table. "How do I banish demons if I have to?"
no subject
She really shouldn't be telling her this, but Sharon is a friend. One of the few here who she can really be honest with, and one of the few who she honestly believes won't be too reckless with this information. Someone with the humans as their priority needs to know these things, just in case. It's a worst case scenario of course, but it's worth planning for it.
"This one, the angel banishing one. It has to be done in blood. You draw it on something, a wall, a table, anything really, and then when they're close enough place your hand in the middle. Who knows where it'll send them here, but it'll be away, that's for certain."
And perhaps she should test out just how far away it sends them, given that they're running with a lot of variables here - but she sure as hell isn't volunteering. It's not a pleasant experience.
"Demons are somewhat easier. They're not as old as us, so they have more weaknesses. Salt, iron, Holy water. Devil's traps can be used to hold them in place, but to get rid of one you'll have to exorcise them." She has to pause for a moment here, frowning and tapping lightly at her chin. A soft sigh escapes, then she just pushes forward.
"That has it's risks though. Likely a demon will just...abandon the human vessel they're possessing if you try that. They might even just try to jump to you. There's a mark to prevent it, but I can't really make a necklace here for you, and there's not a tattoo gun floating around for the more permanent alternative."
no subject
"I assume angels can make holy water. Would that keept demons out, too? Maybe work to force them to retreat?"
