she said i can't take this place
Who: Allison Argent & You
What: Not the smoothest arrival.
Where: The Machine, but ultimately an empty corridor.
When: Day 212
Why: Well, she didn't know not to touch it.
Of course Allison's exploring the moment she's arrived. All she has is the knife tucked into her boot but that will suffice for now.
She treads lightly, hardly audible above the drone of the fluorescent lights overhead. It's a grating noise on her nerves, but she supposes it's a little better than dead silence, hearing the sound of her heart beating.
Surprisingly, it doesn't take her very long to reach the Machine. She doesn't know what it is yet, of course. It just looks like a control system from any science fiction show - lots of blinking lights and blank screens. Holding her breath, it's odd not to hear any noises coming from the tech. Hand extended, she knows she shouldn't touch anything, but there's something enticing about those dusty, unpressed buttons.
Once she makes contact with the keyboard, it shocks her, strong enough to cause her to cry out loudly in pain and stumble backwards onto the floor, clutching her badly singed arm to her chest.
