Santa Claus is coming to town

What: Present giving! The Secret Santa reveal, and anyone who wants to have a christmas party is welcome to join too!
Notess: Party style thread guys, so go nuts. No order, everything is chaos, tag to your hearts content, feel free to break off into separate threads, and no spiking the punch! Also I think she's sort of mentioned it to a bunch of people but want to do me some lovely favours and handwave the actual name drawing? I will backtag if people want but it seems a little pointless to thread that out.


There's another message on the network that morning from Anna, just audio again. It's about as garbled as her first one regarding the Secret Santa idea, but for anyone who is listening closely enough they'll make out a few details. Namely this evening, town hall, and bring your presents before she shuts it off.

She's spent the rest of the day trying to do what she can to make the place look nicer. She's hardly got Christmas decorations on tap, but she's done what she can with what she has all the same. There's paper snow flakes up around the place, some of the food from her house placed in bowls to make it more party-appropriate, and it's no fir but she has relocated a small tree from the edge of the woods and placed it in the hall. Barely decorated, not even the right kind of tree, it's the best she can do with the resources she's been given.

Now all there is to do is wait for people to come.

Oh, he's facing someone alright. Well... he's facing the top of her head. She smiles up at him, not sure if he's drunk or just not all that observant. "No worries, dude. It's cool. You okay there?"

Has she ever seen this guy before? "I'm Kenzi. Nice to meet you, random stranger that got a little too close."

Hearing her voice helps him orient to her location, and while he still can't meet her eyes, he can at least look like he's looking at her. "Tony Stark. Pleased to meet you."

He doesn't miss that got a little too close; smiling sheepishly, he takes a step backward to give her space. "I would ask for a do-over, but you've already seen me at my clumsiest, so it can only improve from here."

"Ooooooooh! So you're the Stark he's been talking about. I apparently already like you based on the fact that Party's brain and my brain are creepily similar sometimes."

It's nothing personal. He's only too close because if he'd hit her right arm, she probably would have passed out. She lightly pats his upper arm in the friendliest of ways-- wow. Working a little muscle there, Tony? Damn. "No do-overs necessary. You're already in my good books."

"My reputation's preceding me again, huh?" He smiles, and despite the frustration the blindness has saddled him with, the smile is genuine. It's not often that his reputation gets him such a positive response these days. At least not where Tony Stark is concerned. Iron Man, on the other hand, is another story.

"Some things never change." He says it fondly instead of sarcastically. "So how's the party? Having fun? Is anyone dancing on the tables yet?"

"Apparently." She grins even if he can't see it. All she's heard have been good things. Not just from Party, either. Bruce, too.

"No table dancing yet, but I'm only one drink in so that might change pretty quick. I'll keep you posted. As for fun... it's better than earthquakes and being dead, so yeah. Moderate amounts of fun going on over here."

"I'm with you on the earthquakes and being dead. I think we could all do without those for a while." Or forever. "Speaking of, where are the drinks? Am I anywhere near them? Or are they over on the other side of the room?"

It may as well be on the other side of the planet, if that's the case. The room isn't nearly as crowded as the events he's gone to over the course of his life, but without his sight, it feels like it is.
