Logan can read the attack as if Ghoul had paused, told him exactly what he was about to do, and then did it. It was a good thing for the both of them in this case, Logan could pick which shots he would allow and which he'd try and dodge. This particular one he didn't see any harm in and did his best to half act things up a bit like he might do with a student. He made a half assed attempt at moving out of the way, but ultimately let Ghoul barrel into him, tumbling back with an 'oof' before shoving Ghoul away from him, more so the younger man could rev up for another attack, but he could feign self defense.
