"Then I suppose you shouldn't play with her." He cracks another smile. "She isn't vicious and she hasn't eaten anyone. She's a baby and she stays outside. Donna helped me fix up a shed for her." She's mostly independent now, anyway. She catches her own food and waits patiently for him in the driveway when she wants something from him.

"Did Meg tell you about her?" She gets along well with Meg, which he finds a little surprising. Meg isn't exactly the nurturing type outside of her brief stint as a nurse.
