Except that doesn't make any sense at all. Chuck is way more confused than anything else. He doesn't know what is making Dean do this, because not even Gabriel was this bad. Gabriel at least let the people make their stupid, irrational and hurtful mistakes before he brutally punished them. Chuck hasn't done anything and somehow he's still stuck.
But all confusion falls away into panic when Dean starts to walk away. If Dean leaves then that means that Chuck is actually stuck here. Trapped in a circle not even a few feet across, powerless and honestly not able to do anything about it.
Honest, true, actual helplessness is not something he is used to feeling. And the new sensation is not exactly something he enjoys, either.
