Daneel put a hand on Lydia's shoulder, attempting to be reassuring, alarmed by her state of mind. He didn't really know much about mythology and supernaturalism, but what Bruce said made sense. A primitive culture, perhaps, might see a powerful non-human being (or even Daneel himself, perish the thought) as a god.
