Then Ruby laughs as she starts to lead Ellen towards her house. "I volunteer Dilandau to try anything risky first. He'll probably say yes, anyway, just to prove he's a man." She doesn't sound particularly convinced that he's a man or that being an idiot would prove that he is one.

She glances back at Ellen. "The town is relatively safe unless they throw something at us. I don't think there's anything right now, though."
