Does she? That's a good question. Part of River misses that sense from other adults of 'I know best so this will help' because it leaves her free from making suggestions and decisions that might hurt someone. Part of her. Part of her knows that she can't be passive about this, the same way she can't really afford to be passive about anything of her own. This is her madness, this is her problem at it's core, and even if other's help her she can't just give them the wheel and hope for the best.
