The shove slams the air out of him. The sight of her changing into something obviously not human stops him from even trying to gasp for air, as his sudden fear freezes his throat.

She lied to him, again, and he'd fallen for it again. He clenches his hand around her wrist and yanks at her arm as he suddenly whoops in a deep, painful breath, and then screams.

"Demon! Get off of me! Let go!"
