Riley's training had been fighting with her brothers for as long as she could remember. Yes, it was play fighting for the most part, but as with any predator that tussled when they were young, there was that element of learning there. Her brothers didn't want her to be unprepared if she needed to fight and fighting her helped them be able to fight against girls if they needed to. It was a mutually beneficial situation for them.
So as Brigid tried to pin her, she rolled against one arm and managed to slip away under it, coming up on all fours, weight rested on the balls of her feet and her finger tips. She didn't shift any further, not wanting to actually hurt Brigid more than a few scratches or bites that she knew she could heal from, but she had a feeling she might have to resort to it if the look in Brigid's eye was anything to go by.
