The little boy is running around in a shirt many sizes too big, in wool booties almost worn through. His hair is a mess of tangles and there are blue stains on his mouth and hands from berries. He's young - can't be more than four, and is running around the countryside, laughing.

An older boy - only slightly older, seven at most - pops over a log and is tackled by the younger one. They continue to play, endlessly.

Raphael stands by and watches.
