Ned reaches up and takes the papers carefully, flipping through quickly to see how many there are, how far Daneel has gotten, before he begins. He notes the precision and correctness of the handwriting - they still took penmanship very seriously, at the Longborough School, so he is aware of these things. He starts reading the first page, but Daneel is still just standing there and so he stops, looks up with a small smile to match Daneel's own.

"Sit with me?" he asks, nodding to the bed next to him.
