Thinking about it, it wasn't that much of a stretch to see why Ned might feel more comfortable in her presence. She didn't really seem fully connected to the now, but that wasn't a bad thing.

She put her tea down and reached for her toast, smearing jam over it and taking a huge bite. Did she want to know more about him? Yes, but not at the expense of his comfort levels.
