The moment is here; he could dump that on Chuck's lap and let him stew with it, but Chuck can't jump back in time and unwrite those books.
What happened to Sarah is something Dean can stash away, pull out if he ever wants to deliver Chuck a blow, but for right now he keeps it to himself.
