He's pretty sure there's nothing left at the bar, but that doesn't mean he can resist going back to check one more time. It's in his nature to keep looking for supplies, even supplies of alcohol, even after he's certain there's nothing left. It's something of his scavenger nature, something that he's quite sure he could tie to his childhood if he wanted to (but he prefers not to,) the urge to keep going back and combing over things just in case.

Alcohol isn't even a necessary supply, really, but in a place like this, he'll take what he can get. If ever there were a place to drive someone to drink, this'd be it. So when he wanders into the bar, it's with an eye towards scavenging. As soon as he enters, though, he notices Shiala. Seems she had the same idea.
