He laughs quietly. It's rare, to elicit laughter as a response from him. More often, even when genuinely amused, it's that small, guarded smile. It's more genuine than his broad, toothy smile, but still, laughter is rare. It's nice to be able to do it, even here, where nothing particularly strikes him as amusing.
