Jo had jumped at the chance to accompany Sam hunting when he called. They had talked about it a week or so earlier, keeping their plans loose to be worked around however he was feeling at the time, but she had been aching to get out and away from the bar and diner. Working was therapeutic for her, something she'd always thrown herself into when times were tough or tensions were running high, something to lose herself in, but she'd been getting cabin fever -- badly enough that just going out to fish or gather wasn't quite enough to slay it. Thankfully, she was pretty sure Sam's company would do the trick.
"Hey there."
She grins as she approaches him from behind, hooking her thumbs into her back pockets. Her knife is safely in its sheath at her belt, with another tucked away in her boot, as well as a handgun at the small of her back, safety on. She preferred a shotgun, but shells were in short supply.
"Ready to go shoot at some dinosaurs?"
Okay, maybe not for real, but it was fun to think about.
