She offers her hand for a handshake. She can pull herself up. But, Brigid wants to take a moment and rest. "Brigid. It's nice to meet you." Sighing, she uses the cane and forces herself up.
Her leg aches and she wants to crawl into a hot shower and then a bed for a week.
"There's no need to apologize. I don't know how humans do it, being blind and deaf." She shakes her head. "I feel like half my head's been cut off." She wants to be able to smell and hear and know things again. It's something she relies on, beyond all reason.
Maybe she should learn how to work without her senses, but she's never been without them. "Are you alright?"
