She swallows a whimper and closes her eyes. Brigid shrinks in on herself and clings to her cane for a moment.
"I... St. Gabriel said..." She doesn't even know how to defend herself from his accusations and his scolding.
"I'm sorry, St. Raphael." Brigid whispers, blinking back tears. She just can't.
