She stops walking for a moment and gathers her thoughts. "I was in the church, back in the town." Brigid begins. "I was saying a prayer for Charlie. She'd gone missing and... I didn't know what else to do." She hadn't wanted much. Just a bit of comfort.
"St. Gabriel was looking for you, I believe." And he'd called her a pet. She isn't anyone's pet. "He said that my prayers were bothersome and far too loud. He snapped that I thought of all of you as cherubs and docile and benevolent." Brigid looks up at the archangel near her. "I don't believe that. Angels are the Swords and Hands of God. You are Soldiers first, meters of justice, and only kind and benevolent after all of that."
She lowers her eyes again, not wanting to cause trouble. "I have no wish to bother anyone. Most especially those that hold my existence in their hands." She'd learned that lesson the hard way. "He seemed... angry about my faith. I decided to keep it to myself, so as to keep my intrusion to a minimum."
