Kevin's not really sure how this prophet thing is supposed to work; he wasn't... activated until Sam and Dean broke open the Leviathan tablet, which meant that they needed a Keeper of the Word then. Crowley seemed to think that if he killed Kevin, another prophet would be called up immediately, probably because they still needed a Keeper, but Kevin doesn't know what that means for Chuck. He doesn't have a lot of information, just that he and Chuck seemed to have very different prophetic duties.

"Well, there are." He thinks about being at that table in Crowley's warehouse, surrounded by all the other people who could've become a prophet if it wasn't his turn, or whatever the reasoning was. He hasn't been able to figure that out, either. Why him, if there were other options?

"There are others out there too that just haven't been... switched on yet, like all the ones from my... our generation."

This is weirdly awkward moment, given the two of them potentially understand each other's plights.

"I'm supposed to, um, watch over God's word. Interpret it."
