Did someone say Dora?
Who: Sharon and ANYONE
Where: All over. She's getting the lay of the land.
When: Day 3
Warnings: None
Sharon exits yet another building and makes some notes on a notepad. She figures Coulson already has much of the information, a rough map of the town, perhaps, but Sharon has been going through with more attention to detail, taking measurements to see if she can find any hidden partitions, counting how many cameras are in a building, going through the papers of previous occupants, anything. She supposes something might be hidden in the books in the library, but she'll talk to Lydia about helping her go through that.
More than once, she's paused to stare at the cameras, and from time to time, her hand inches toward her gun. But she only has so much ammo, and her hand always drops back down. An axe will do just as well if she can find one.

He managed to find some basic tools in the back of the closet in the house he picked out with Martha and figured since the place was abandoned, no one would mind his borrowing. Having no sonic screwdriver was a pain in the ass. So he was stuck being 80% less efficient and taking longer than he'd desire without it. Also, being so domestic was strange.
"Hello!" He saw the woman walking around a few yards away from him and he waved. There was a small community here, it seemed, everyone being just as confused as the next person the how's and why's of this place. Making friends should be the easy part.

She studied his robot with open curiosity. She wasn't entirely sure what it was, but she knew he was trying to build technology from post-seventies.
"What are you working on?"
no subject
"This? A robot, well... one day it will be. I don't have my usual tool, so it's going to take everything I can find and make for it to work." At the moment he wasn't feeling confident about it, but it was just that. A feeling. Hopefully. "I'm curious about those cameras in the rooms. Have you seen them?"
no subject
She took a step back and crouched beside the robot. "I've seen them. Even tried to take mine apart but couldn't." She didn't touch the robot, but she moved to look at it from different angles. "Do you need any parts? You're welcome to look over at my place if that robot means getting rid of the cameras."
no subject
"Do you have anything that looks... well, current?" Everything in the house he claimed looked to be before 1970 with a few exceptions. Heck, even the lab at UNIT was better than this place, and that was saying something.

Finally he glanced up, "I'm a bit of a scientist. I'm not good at.. domestic."

She sat beside him and leaned forward, studying the water beneath the dock. Part of the dock had been broken, and if she didn't miss her guess, there was a boat down there.
"That's smart." And terrible if it's true. She'd sent Logan that way, straight to them like some sacrificial berserker, murderous lamb.
"I'm not really suited to domesticity, either. One way or another, I'm going to get out of here before I go nuts."
no subject
Ok, so he had actually been stuck for lengths of time often. This was only the 3rd day, so probably by the 10th, he'll have everything figured out. No need to panic.
"Other than the cameras, have you noticed anything else.. off?"
no subject
"Are you familiar with multiverse theory?"
She straightened, her hands on her hips. No barnacles, either. Odd. Come to think of it, she hadn't seen cats or dogs, either. She left the dock to get a clump of grass before coming back and lowering herself over the edge of the dock. If it were sulfuric acid, they wouldn't be on the dock right now. But some part of acid that kept some forms of life at bay, perhaps? Or had the barnacles been scraped off?

Then she walks off and comes back with grass, causing his brows to furrow. What was she looking for? Now he was puzzled.
no subject
They can talk about multiverse after she's sure he isn't negatively affected.
no subject
He reaches down, touches the water, then brings it up to his mouth. "Mm, yeah. Acid." He looks back at her, "Not terribly strong, just enough to be noticeable, although it could affect you after longer periods of time." Blink. Blink, "Is that what you're wondering?"
no subject
"Are you joking right now? Because I don't have time for jokes, Doctor. And if you're serious somehow, do I need to get you medical attention, or is it not harmful unless in large doses?"
She closes her eyes. If he had truly just done that, how had he done it? Think, Sharon.
"What are you?" Mutant? Some sort of super? A new kind of alien?
no subject
"Nope! I'm fine, just as you'd be alright... only in small quantity of course, but the fish we'd consume... eh, over time it might be a bit harmful." And then her question, "Time Lord! Hello!" He happily waved his hand to her as if they were meeting for the very first moment.
no subject
Her face was impassive as she listened, only her eyes moving as they followed his hand. "A time lord. What is that, exactly?"
no subject
"Where are you from?"
no subject
She looked down at the water before turning back to the Doctor. "The chemicals in the water. Can you tell what they are?"
no subject
"Is there anything else you're rather curious about, well, beyond this whole place?" Despite staying up all night the past two nights, he hadn't really done much for exploring, sadly.
no subject
"Would you mind if I asked someone to confirm your results?"
no subject
"And who would that be?" Granted he hadn't met that many people, but no one stood out as to being someone credible as himself.
no subject
"I'll ask around. I don't mean to insult you, Doctor. It's just that we've never met and I want to be absolutely certain before I tell others about it." Or at least the general population.

She smiles up at him. "That would be ideal. Thank you, Doctor." She looks over the edge of the dock again, musing about the possibility of a boat beneath the water and what might happen to a new one. "We'll get out of here one way or another. I promise."
