what doesn't kill you makes you stronger
Who: The Hulk and you, IF YOU DARE
What: The rampaging Hulk is... you know, rampaging. Feel free to treat this as an open post kind of thing. Team up to battle him if you want, or come in to help rescue someone.
When: Day 50 (from here)
Where: Starting in the town, moving back out into the park (feel free to assume you're pursuing him out there from the town), then he flees into the woods.
There aren't a lot of conscious thoughts in the Hulk's mind right now. The only thing he's sure of is rage -- pure and unadulterated, it flows through him and feeds his strength, feeds his energy, but it's like poison, too. The regular Hulk, the calm one, would prefer rationality over this, but he doesn't have a choice. He doesn't get a choice like Banner, or like any of these other humans. He gets someone pushing Banner's buttons until the Hulk tumbles out mindless and angry and unable to turn it off.
So he'll rage, and he'll smash and destroy until he can bleed the anger out.

He does have to destroy, though; where is he going to put all this anger if he doesn't tear things up? He's not hurting people until they get in his way. So don't get in his way, puny! To prove his point, he charges at the little man, palm open to smack him like a fly.

lurkingexisting vaguely on Charles' periphery, as he often does; as long as he's within hearing range so to speak he's comfortable, Charles' mental presence a serene hum at the back of his head.So when it stops being serene, or at least peaks with the specific patterns Erik recognizes as failed attempts to calm (having felt exactly those with about as much success) he drops his examination of the public buildings in the area to stalk around fallen debris and cracked pavement, stopping exactly where he can feel the range of the various metals on Charles' person. It's not much, but it's enough for movement, so he effects a gesture like he's trying to coax the air backwards toward him, sending the telpath skittering a few yards out of Hulk's path and - because he overshoots the distance a little - almost crashing directly into Erik, who steadies him with hands on his shoulders.
Ugh. He despises lack of precision in himself. B| But meanwhile: "May we go?" he inquires, an acid politeness lighting the edges of his tone. Fluttering, even. Merrily, like ribbons in spring!
He will sort out his feelings toward the palpable (familiar) waves of rage Hulk emanates, uh. Later.

He's not quite sure Erik won't just feed him to the monsters in the forest if he stops to chat. So he just nods. "I imagine we'd better. I can't seem to get through to him and I think - yes, there's someone else around here. Someone in pain."
He doesn't like to leave, not when the rage is so intense and so palpable, but all he really has to offer are feeble promises. Perhaps he can try again another time.
