See, whoever thought angels couldn't be polite clearly hadn't met Anna. In all fairness, some of the more subtle human nuances like, say, personal space are a lot easier to pick up on when you've actually lived as a human for twenty five years, but even so. She's a little more considerate of these things than most. "I have a few things I wanted to discuss with you, you see."

She turns to head to the living room, pausing to straighten up one of the hotels on the Monopoly board. "So, what did the Feather Brigade want to talk to a lowly little demon whore about?"

She sighs as she folds her arms over her chest, looking idly around the room for a moment or two before bringing her focus back to Meg. She is seriously trying here, all personal feelings aside. That said, even they aren't as bad as her initial reaction. Now it's more the generalised mistrust she has for the people of her world in general. It's barely even about the demon thing any more.
"I'm here about Crowley. Word is, you know him better than most. I want to know how much of a threat he is, whether we need to start planning for him to make a move. And I need to know that you're going to help me keep Cas safe."
Which, in the end, is the real reason she's talking to Meg about him and not someone else. There's enough angels here to take down one demon, 'King of Hell' or not, but that would require a unified force, and angels aren't so good at moving past their issues. On their own, Anna has no idea how powerful this guy is. She needs to know that he'll be safe.

She shrugs and drops down on the sofa. "Course, back home he has an entire underworld of lackeys at his beck and call and a kennel full of hellhounds. Here? I dunno. Kind of hoping he's cut off from all that. Just Crowley without his toys? Not such a big deal."
Man, why does everyone want to know whether she'll keep Cas safe and what her intentions are to him? Answering those kind of questions means analysing her own feelings and she doesn't want to. "Cas can take care of his self. But, if you must know, I got his back, 'kay?"
I AM A WINNER AT UNSTARRING THREADS THAT I DIDN'T ACTUALLY REPLY TO
Now for...well. Everything else, starting with this business with Meg and Castiel. He can make his own decisions, Anna is all too well aware of that, but first and foremost he will always be her brother. Complications aside, she cares about him, and cares enough to make sure that the people around him have his best interests in mind.
"I'm perfectly aware he can take care of himself." The slight cool tone in that response is entirely personal this time, nothing to do with Meg and everything to do with those complications, but she continues on a little softer. "We...have a rocky relationship. I look out for him when I can, but it's difficult. If there's someone who is around him more and is looking out for him..."
She gives a small shrug. Feelings talks are hard, okay?
"I appreciate it. He needs someone looking out for him, even if he doesn't always realise it. Thank you, and- I'm sorry. I shouldn't have judged you so quickly."
<3
"Kinda used to be judged on sight. Comes with the territory of being a black eyed bitch - it has a certain stigma attached to it. People don't seem to take too kindly to the torturing and the murdering." Still, she appreciates the lack of smiting. Not being a burnt out shell on the floor is always good in Meg's mind.
"And like I said - I have his back." Translated into Meg feels talk it roughly meant - 'I'd die for him'.

Not that it'll make any difference the next time a demon appears. She'll cast the same judgement - and probably with valid reasoning - but Meg at least, Meg is on the all clear list. Castiel trusts her, and Anna trusts in his judgement these days, if nothing else. He's wised up a lot in the time since she's known him, it seems. For the better.
"Good. I imagine he has yours too," there's the hints of a smile there when she says that - she doesn't know anything, not at all in fact, but considering her own uber denial situation, maybe she might slightly be recognising the signs. Or perhaps she's just being friendly, who knows. "Take care of him."

Things with Cas are ...different. She can't explain it. Well, she probably can, but she chooses not to.
Meg shoots Anna a halfway smile in return. "I intend to take great care of him. Not every day you find an angel willing to give you a chance. Especially a cute one."
