Smiling at her, he drops the volume. "Sorry, just next time it could be like some evil dick and not Ghoul's... uh... you know he has crabs, right?" He gives her an apologetic look. "'Cause, like, someone should probably warn you, girl."
no subject
"Hey, makes sense," she shrugs, but when he continues a side of Anna comes out that people don't very often see - she actually gets pretty awkward. With a soft laugh and another small shrug, she rubs a hand against the back of her neck as she looks around. "Well, I don't think I'm 'his', but you know. Thanks for the heads up? I guess?"
no subject
"I'm Kobra, by the way." Last time they talked, it had been kinda confusing. "And I think I'm good for fighting off weird shit." He holds up his hands and fire appears on his palms. It's pretty misshapen as far as spheres go, but it's hot and glow-y!
no subject
She's still in super awkward mode, because she really hadn't thought that the conversation would take that turn, but it's really easy to get distracted from all that when the human is pulling out fire hands.
"Wow, that's neat," she raises her eyebrows, takes a few steps closer, and hopes she doesn't sound as concerned as she looks. "How'd you learn how to do that, then?"
no subject
"There shit like this where you're from? 'Cause there ain't where I come from."
no subject
That's definitely fire though, and that definitely makes sense. It's not killing the humans after all. He must be so damn pleased to have worked out that loophole. If Anna looks really really pissed for a moment, that's probably because...well, she is. Kind of furious, actually, but she's going to shove that away for now, and work that sweet enough smile back on her face.
"Lucifer- Satan. Whatever you want to call him. He's actually from my world." And is so getting a visit as soon as she's sure the important people know how to protect themselves. "He just...gave you that. Didn't ask for a thing in return?"
no subject
He studies her for a minute. They must be awfully chummy if she knows that he's from her world. "So you're from Second Loki's world? What's it like having gods and shit? It must be totally balls crazy, right?"
no subject
"Second Loki?" It takes her a moment to put two and two together, and to remember who exactly Second Loki is. It clicks though, and she nods quickly, "Yeah, same world. It's... well."
Balls crazy doesn't even begin to cover it, but that's a long story that Anna doesn't like telling, so she just laughs and nods, running a hand across her face lightly. Today just got a whole lot more stressful, that's for sure. "It's pretty insane, I'll give you that. You know that won't work on- on him, right?"
Nearly slipped up there, nearly let out an 'us' instead of a 'him'.
no subject
"I kinda went pagan for him." A new euphemism for sex. "Well, except I still don't really know that I believe in gods and shit, but he's impressive and cool. You live with him, don't you?" He wonders if Loki's always that cool, because Kobra might have a new role model and with his new powers, maybe he can be all cool and shit like Loki.
no subject
What if all the humans just made it a little easier for her to keep them safe though? Wouldn't that be great for everyone and give Anna far less of a tension headache - or the angel equivalent, anyway.
"Yeah, he's...we knew each other back home. He thinks he's a lot funnier than he actually is." That comes out far fonder than anything else she's said since arriving, but after a moment she shrugs. "I'm still up in the air about gods, but there's no denying that there's supernatural beings from our universe here. Pretty nasty ones, some of them."
no subject
Much as he likes making people angry most of the time, he, uh, really needs to quit that now. Like really. Fuck.
"So what do I do if the devil comes at me? I mean, other than shit and die?"
no subject
"If that doesn't work though - I left something here a couple of days ago, a drawing. Looks like a circle with symbols around it, have you seen it?"
no subject
"M'I interruptin' somethin' here?" Better not be. He closes the door behind him and moves to stand next to Anna, facing Kobra. Potentially a little protective... possibly a tiny bit possessive. "The hell's he been tellin' you, Chiquita?"
no subject
"And then she told me about how I shouldn't light Satan on fire, so really, we're just having a good exchange of advice here." This is for the bed, fucker.
no subject
This is - or at least is in theory - supposed to be a business visit though, so she raises her eyebrows briefly as she looks between the two, and then gives Ghoul a somewhat pointed look as she carries on in a more serious tone. "Your friend has been making deals with Lucifer, so I figured he might need some self defence advice too."
no subject
He slips an arm around Anna's waist, nodding at that pointed look. He's paying attention. He can be serious. He can--"LUCIFER? You weren't fuckin' kiddin' about the Satan thing? Goddammit, Kobra. The hell did we say about this shit?" He turns to look at Anna, "This is what you're tryin' to protect us from? The fuckin' devil?"
Sue him if his hold gets a little bit tighter. Like hell is he letting her out of his sight any time soon if she's gotta deal with satanic bullshit.
no subject
"Uh... I didn't sleep with him or invite him into the house, so technically I totally didn't do anything you guys told me not to." A pause. "Also lick my balls."
He turns to Anna. "Wait, is he like a vampire? Do we have to invite him in?" And here comes the derailment. "Holy shit, do you think there are vampires here?"
no subject
"Yeah, I didn't want to say in so many words..." Mostly because she's already dropped the family word enough times to cast a lot of suspicion on her now. "But, yeah. That's what we're dealing with. The devil, a couple of his minions, and a few other players on the board. All stupidly overpowered and really difficult to fight, but it is possible."
Raphael's warning all to prevalent on her mind, she's being very careful with her words. She'll talk about demons until the cows go home, but when it comes to the angels she's being a lot more tight-lipped. All of that kind of gets derailed when Kobra starts talking about vampires though, and it momentarily throws Anna off.
"Vampires? If there's any here, I'm not the one to ask. That'd be news to me. I can keep them out of your house though."
no subject
Wouldn't do if Conrad showed up askin' for help and couldn't even get in the house. Much easier if he just keeps that to himself.
"Got any magic that'll pump up Kobra's decision makin' capabilities? Because right now, that's the biggest threat we gotta deal with."
no subject
He manages to break through the haze enough to process what Ghoul says about him, though. "Hey!" Not that he's going to argue, but fuck you in the eye socket.
no subject
She's been thinking about it, see, and she really doesn't want to cut herself off completely from the people she's taken a liking to here. The angel proofing would keep her out too, of course, and she's just selfish enough to think that's a bad idea. There's something though, she's been considering it for a while and can't see why it won't work. So she might possibly lean a little more into Ghoul's side as she starts talking again, casting meaningful glances in all the right parts to try and tell him what she's not quite willing to say in company just yet.
"I think I might have worked out a way for you to control who of their...kind can come in and who can't." Read as: Ghoul can still let her in. "It's the same principle, the proofing sigil, only placed over somewhere where you can break it. A window frame, or a doorway. You open it, they can come in. Close it and you're safe in here."
She raises a hand, takes hold of his wrist and squeezes lightly before folding her arms over her chest. "That doesn't cover the demons though."
