i feel it in my bones.

Who: Daryl and Open.
What: Partially fixed up/cleaned up and fleeing Laura's house.
When: Backdated to the evening of day 53.
Where: The Park
Warnings: Probably a lot of cursing and belligerent comments. He's in pain and it makes for a bad combination.

He was thankful the girl helped get him fixed up, but he wasn't sure if he was the safest person to be around. Daryl didn't trust too many folks outside of the group he came from and Merle. They weren't here though. Not a single one of them was here and it worried him. He hadn't seen a single walker and no one seemed all that afraid that they'd show up. Nothing was like the place he came from and he couldn't understand how a geographic switch could take away the hordes. The disease was all over the place. There was no way this place had avoided the sickness. At least someone had to have caught it and then kicked the bucket. All it'd take next was biting and a shit load of panic for it to spread faster than a wild fire. It was mystery as to why none of these folks had heard of his troubles.

So he left. He slipped out the window of that house and he bolted. This could be a trick and he wasn't about to be a sitting duck. She must've taken his necklace of ears away when he was sleeping and his face was cleaner. No more blood and dirt. She left his things in the room with him and he was pretty damn relieved about that. He didn't wanna have to sneak through the house looking for his knife and crossbow. He had other shit to get to. He made sure to jam that raggedy doll in his pocket on the way out. If he did get back to his group then he wanted Carol to know he found proof that Sophia was out there. She deserved that.

Daryl clutched his cleaned up wound on his side and shouldered on. She must've fixed the strap on his crossbow because he was able to sling it over his shoulder and be done with it. He had a bandage around his head and his clothes were still dirty. She worked around them which was awful nice of her. These clothes were the only ones he had on him. The park in the distance seemed like the safest place for him. Daryl did better out in nature. He felt safer and less like a target. He could hear folks and he could survive out there.

It's been a quiet day. After the Hulk's slamming around and the subsequent apologies that have been all over the comm network, Jesse's worn out mentally, and he just wants to be out of the house. So he goes, slips out to the edge of the woods. He likes it here - he knows better than to go too far into the woods, so he doesn't, but still. The edge is fine enough for his purposes.

The flashes of light are probably pretty suspicious, Jesse knows, but all he feels like doing is getting out here and letting out some of that built up static. Concentrating on accurately shooting targets on the trees with his newly found electricity is enough to keep his mind off anything that might be bothering him.

But he is paying attention to around him, just in case, and he thinks he hears footsteps or something, which causes him to stop and look over his shoulder. The park's right there - it's not unusual for people to wander around it.
