Bruce doesn't like to think of his plight as worse than anyone else's, but he does often use it as a way to help him keep perspective on things. It helps him to stay sane, in the way most people mean when they say something like that and also in the literal way of keeping himself calm. As for werewolves in particular, he thinks their problems are on a similar plane with his. It's not like they get a ton of control over when they change either.

"Wow, that's pretty intense. Do you have control over yourself when you change? Do you remember things?"

"Depends on a lot, actually." She sighs. "I didn't even know for a long time. It would take over and I had no idea. Even after I knew, it took me some time to gain control. If I have control, I remember, but it's still hazy sometimes. There was a while where I wasn't changing at all, so getting control again has been an uphill battle again."

"And how long have you been trying for that?" Control comes with practice. Bruce understands that method and had thought perhaps that he'd been indulging in some of that, but his easy change with Kobra had been maybe a problem. What if he practices so much that he wears the divide down and loses the control he has all over again?

"A shorter amount of time than I think you'd be comfortable with, but I think I've mostly got it." She smiles nervously. "It's easier the second time, that's for sure."

"Second time? This is your second time?"

No judgment, there has to be a second time for everything, but that is, you know. Unsettling.

"The second time learning to control it."

And okay, yes, the second time after years without transforming.

He makes a face and nods, rubbing his hands together. "Alright then. My second time was messier than yours, so props." He grins.

"Everything go okay?"

She smiles, but it's completely mirthless. "Well, I sure hope your first time was better than mine, but everything seems fine. I can't smell anything that I shouldn't."
