Riley's smile brightens and she takes Ruby's hand in a shake. "I'm Riley. It's nice to meet you, all things considered." She gestured around, meaning the place they were stuck in. "Do you want company to wherever it is you're going to terrify someone during breakfast?"

Ruby squeezes her hand gently and offers her a warm smile. "You can walk me part of the way if you want."

She drops Riley's hand and starts to walk slowly towards Wallie's. "Do I look alright?"

"Um, just a second." She moves around to pick out a few more random bits of forest that made their temporary home in hair and on clothes. Dusting off one shoulder, she gave Ruby a bright smile. "Much better."

"Thanks." Ruby laughs. "Wouldn't want to look anything but my best."

Wallie just saw her turn into a wolf, so she's not really sure why it matters, but she'd rather look like she hasn't literally become one with the forest ground.

"You look fine, promise." So that was two werewolves she'd met. She wondered if the other one, Brigid, was doing all right this morning. Maybe she'd jog around and see for herself.

"There a reason you want to look your best?"

"I guess I don't really have a reason." Because there is definitely not a cute man involved. Nope.

"I just like looking good. For myself, you know?"

She was smiling at the lie, ducking her head to hide it. "I know what you mean. No reason a girl can't look her best, right?"
