To cut, to alter, to harm like this is so very wrong, goes against everything Daneel accepts. Because she is a telepath, because she listens? In his own time and place, the knowledge of what he can do would only lead him to be dismantled, his brain under scrutiny to see what had gone wrong to allow. Is it the same here, perhaps?
