She runs through the streets with eyes painted red
WHO: Riley and Balthazar
WHAT: Going for a run
WHERE: Around the town/possibly partially into the woods
WHEN: Day 65
WARNINGS: None. I'll be certain to update if required.
They hadn't set up a time, but she'd pinged Balthazar on the network, asking him if he could meet up with her outside her place. They could either run down to the lighthouse and along the beach, or they could go up towards the woods, though she wasn't sure how far she'd feel comfortable going into them.
She waited for him to show up, doing a few stretching warm up exercises. Accelerated healing or not, it didn't hurt to avoid having to deal with a charlie horse or any other kind of painful cramp. She hummed a tune to herself as she stretched, keeping her ears and nose open for her companion.

Spinning around, she looked out at the trees. "I guess even angels can get boned by some kind of interdimensional kidnappy scientists, huh?"

He laughs at the observation, and nods. "So it seems. I've registered my displeasure through some of the cameras, but evidently they're not afraid of me."
no subject
She laughed even harder, looking over at him with one brow lifted. "You didn't moon the cameras, did you? Because that's not so much scary as just wrong."
no subject
A beat. "I mean, that's not all I did..."

The end of that statement had her returning his gape. She covered her eyes as though that would protect her brain from putting an image in it. "You did not!"

"I just meant...I talked at them. Threatened and cursed? You know. Nothing people would pay to watch, I promise."
no subject
"You've obviously never seen my mom with a good head of steam going. Her threats and curses are things of beauty." When and if she ever got to that point. Her mom had the patience of a saint, but when it finally broke and she got mad, she got mad.

Everything's funnier in Enochian.

He tilts his head to listen to her diatribe, lips quirking into a grin. And he snickers when the chicken gets brought up. At the end, though, he shakes his head. "I'm sure that's cathartic, but there's no reason they should respond to pure insults. We'd have to come up with something to get their attention, to be sure whether they understand us."
no subject
"Question is, what sort of thing would get their attention? Besides trying to leave?"

He falls into a slow gait, not quite in the direction they came from, but angled slightly toward town. "Damaging the equipment, maybe. I tried breaking a camera once, and it was repaired within a few hours, but if we could somehow hit every camera in town at once--or, failing that, a large number of them--I imagine it would get their notice."

She was okay with putting herself on the line, but she wouldn't ask anyone else to potentially be hurt, or worse, out of a fit of pique.
