Who: Charlie Luciano and Meyer Lanksy
Where: House 19
When: Evening Day 67
What: Sex. Pretty much. Also drunkenness.
It takes a hell of a lot of self control for Charlie to wait until they'd finally ushered Ned out and closed to the door before pouncing. But he does manage and therefore Meyer need to reward him. Obviously. Which is why he's pressing into his back the minute the door is closed, breathing him in. The room may be spinning a little but standing like this he feels pretty damn anchored.

"Are you so hungover you forgot clothes, or is that purposeful?"
There's always that possibility, too. Sometimes hangovers can make one do crazy things, if there aren't cigarettes and coffee to combat them.

"Didn't feel like putting anything on."

He's fairly certain, actually, that Charlie technically can, and probably would, just to be contrary. In his own current choice of attire, it's not exactly as though he looks fashionable, but at least he's wearing clothes. And, Charlie will be pleased to see, has finally set down his pen and stopped taking notes.

Admittedly, he could blame it on Charlie being deeply ridiculous, which isn't entirely untrue. Glancing at the apple, he shakes his head; it's a healthier breakfast choice than his own, all things considered, but it's a sign that they're running out of food quickly, and that concerns him.

It's acceptable to consider Ned a friend, right? After all, Charlie got drunk with him -- that's generally a good sign of friendship. On the other hand, it's true, they don't exactly entertain much, nor does he have any intention to do so in the future.

Who knows; people might wander into each other's houses here. Then again, and this is extremely likely, Meyer may just be paranoid. He pushes the half empty can of olives away in disgust -- they don't make a great breakfast.

Once he kisses Charlie back, however, he draws away to respond to his comment. "I'm always fucking cranky in the morning."
That could have something to do with rarely sleeping, or at least, not in a pattern normal people do.

That's only semi-facetious. In actuality, he's pretty amazed Charlie's managed to put up with him since he was an annoying kid -- and that remarkably, Charlie has also managed to see him as something other than an annoying kid, after all these years.

Hey, it goes both ways sometimes. Charlie makes enough mistakes and does enough dumb shit that he's pretty sure Meyer could have gone off by now and done a lot better on his own.

Meyer probably could have gone off on his own. He's always been a loner, anyway. Despite that, he can't imagine life without Charlie -- he's gone this long having him around, knowing what he's like, getting used to every little thing about him. He doesn't think he'd do better on his own; on the contrary, he'd probably be much worse off. He doesn't ever admit that to Charlie, though.
