So, the past few days have gotten progressively weirder. Nothing was going on in the town, no. But things at home had become...different. And Charlie wasn't entirely sure why.

Brigid had been techy, lately. Moody and Charlie found it worrying. She wasn't sure what was going on with her friend and was even less sure as to how to handle it so she took to just avoiding Brigid while she could. Which was probably not actually helping the situation at all.

It was somewhere around midnight when Charlie, again caught in the middle of some serious insomnia, decided she was going to make herself some plain ramen and see if a slightly full stomach helped.

She tried to be careful about it, noise kept to a minimum and all but Charlie had butterfingers tonight. The pot slipped out of her hand and crashed to the floor.

"Son of a..." She'll just be headed down the hall to get a towel to clean that water up.

Charlie startles, not at all expecting Brigid to be awake. Holy Hell, girl. She should get you a bell or something. Actually, no. That'd be insulting and Brigid was her friend.

Most of the time.

At present, she was worrying Charlie just a bit.

"I dropped a pan. It's not like I set a cherry bomb or something off." Now is not the time to snark back, Charlie. She seems to realize this and calms herself with a sigh.

"Sorry."

Charlie watches Brigid, now on alert. She steps back some, one hand going up in slight warning. Which is unwise, she's sure. But come on. What else is she supposed to do?

"And I am genuinely sorry for dropping the pan. I didn't do it intentionally and you know it." So back off, Brigid.
