Who: Charlie and YOU
What: Dream plot catch-all
Where: Nightmare!Shop, Nightmare!Farm, Nightmares all over the place, except for maybe a couple fine memories that slip in.
When: Dream event.
How: Way2Go, Kore. You're being weird again
Warning: Violence, death, loads of murder, burning bodies, kidnapping, swearing (And anything else that comes up)
None of Charlie's dreams start out normal. Not most of the time. This night is no exception. There's a young girl in this one. Blonde. Blue eyed. The feeling coming from her is odd. It's rage, sure. But it's a calm rage, as if she's been pushed past her limit and has made a final decision. Around her, buildings burn. People, faceless, run from the buildings. Some of them are on fire and they seem to melt like wax. All of them are faceless.
A body lies nearby, one that the girl turns to look at and mixed with the rage are feelings of attachment and loss. Whoever he was, he'd been important. But now he's gone and the girl is alone.
There's the sound of feet running towards her, faceless men in business suits round a corner. They're armed, guns pointed at her but the small girl doesn't care.
They fire. The bullets explode inches away from her. She's unphased. A glance at the men and they're all burning and the girl continues on, that calm rage fueling her actions. Every step she takes, every person she sets fire to.
There's even a helicopter, bigger than normal. The windows are glowing eyes and the voice coming from it is distorted, demonic. The helicopters shadow seems to have arms that reach for the girl, but there's a flash and a definite rise in heat. The helicopter goes down, a ball of fire and twisted metal and then...it starts over.
"I mean it, I'll burn you up. I'll fry you!" It's the little girl again. The emotions are different. Panicked. And the man from before is standing nearby. His face is clear. There's obviously some relation there. There are faceless men in suits and any time they speak, their voices distorted, there's a sense of angry disbelief from the girl. Their words are bullshit.
"We just wanna talk to you, Charlie. If you'll just get in the car..."
"NO!"
The heat rises and the man standing beside Charlie warns the men. "Can't you feel what she's doing?"
An older man, late sixty's, steps onto the porch. It's a farmhouse. They're at a farm. The man is angry. He's not faceless, either. Neither is his wife. He's armed. The dream distorts, things twist to become more nightmarish and the men in suits look more like monsters. One of them steps forward and it becomes a flurry of gunshots, fire and cars exploding. More people melting and there's a feeling of control slipping from the little girl and suddenly everything's on fire.
"No, this isn't how it happened. Stop! STOP!" Panic, fear and a huge sense of guilt before the dream starts over.
These dreams don't seem to be all that visible. They're more like black and white flashes, really, with the occasional patch of color. Someone's blue eyes will show through the haze, or a red sweater with accompanied feelings of peace. The girl is significantly younger, hair tied up in pigtails one moment or swinging on swings with her parents the next. She's happier, oblivious.
There's a birthday cake. She's five. But there's no candle. That's fine. Each room seen, there's a fire extinguisher. First aid kits. This is normal to her. Don't all homes have this?
There's laughter from a hazy scene of a family watching TV and then there's a monkey at a zoo, the girls full attention on it as her parents stand nearby. Just simple flashes, even one of her, older, at a farm. Chasing chickens and laughing at the way they panicked.
But these dreams are so hard to see, as if they're not normal. They just happened.
(ooc: i'll put up other dreams in the comments, too. sorry this got so long.)

Day 84; Dream 2
He's standing out in the fields, the lone person when he sees the farm house go up in flames and a girl screaming. Running faster and faster, he's unsure of the shapes around him, but the one thing he can see is the girl and he takes her hand, "Come with me."
Not allowing her a moment to reply, he runs away from the house and the figures with her tugged along.
Re: Day 84; Dream 2
The huge sweater she wears, clearly meant for an adult and probably made by hand, flaps around her knees as she moves. She glances once over her shoulder to see the farm. It's gone and there's a sense of relief until she looks ahead and sees it, right from the beginning.
Hi, Doctor. Hope you don't mind that the kid you were just holding hands with is now the 19 year old girl you know from Kore.
She's watching the scene unfold, clearly just weirded out by being a viewer and not a participant.
"This is new. It usually just...repeats until I wake up with singed bedsheets." She sounds just so baffled by this, turning to look at the Doctor. "You're new, too."
no subject
"I feel like I should know this?" But really it's because it's her feelings of recognition that he is feeling. And yet, given that he's empathetic of the situation, her uneasiness was rubbing off on him. If anything it was his mind was still a tad unsound given his return.
no subject
People don't just turn into monsters like that where she's from. Some people are already monster enough.
"This happened when I was eleven."
The little girl is shouting again, demanding the men in suits leave. It's slowed down, though. Charlie's trying to prevent it from twisting too badly again.
no subject
The Doctor offers her a smile.
no subject
Still, her hand slips into his. "Let's see what we can do."
no subject
The Doctor's gaze is now on the car, "Ever wanted to learn how to drive? ...I wonder if it's manual or automatic..." Now the question was, how could they sneak over there and not be caught.
no subject
"What are you gonna do?" Whatever it is, she's in.
no subject
"They all get out of car, yeah?" He decides they needed to move quite a distance away before making their way to where they need to be.
Slowly, carefully, he was watching the players in the dream closely.
no subject
This works for her.
no subject
He finally makes it to the driver's side, but pauses to look over the hood of the car, watching the scene, "Who are they, anyway? Do you know?" He never saw a point to talking to children like, well, children. Perhaps it was a hold over with Time Lords, as 'baby talk' never existed in their society. Most kids wanted to be treated as equals anyway.
no subject
"I can start fires and it's because of something they did." Whether she doesn't want to get into it or doesn't know what, that's not clear. What is clear is she just doesn't like those men. They're monsters to her.
"They keep following us everywhere."
no subject
Shouts before them, returned his attention elsewhere and he nods to her, "Right, let's go." And he quietly opens the door and motions for her to crawl in. Good, the keys were still there.
Day 84; Dream 1
But this was weird. The dream was full of faceless people and streets he didn't know, places he'd never seen. There's a fucking enormous helicopter, a little girl, and people keep firing bullets. Even though those bullets seemed to pass through him in the dream, he kept raising his shield against them. Some instincts were hard to kill.
He found himself beside the little girl, the one who's setting fire to fucking everything. He had it in his mind that she was the key somehow, the thing that was keeping him here in this dream full of fire and faceless people.
"Hey kid. Kid!" One of his metal hands reached for her. He didn't even know if he'd be able to touch her. "Kid, knock it the hell off! What are you doing? This has to end, now!"
Re: Day 84; Dream 1 ffff no bb Charlie icons. So just pretend.
"They deserve it. They kidnapped me, kept me from my daddy. Stuffed me so full of pills to keep my ability down that I couldn't do anything but cry and then they killed my dad. I'm done with them!"
And there are more people on fire, more buildings start to burn. "They shoulda just left us alone."
Day 84; Dream 1 I'm so sorry this has taken so long :(
But this isn’t his dream, it’s hers. And she looks so familiar. He’s seen her before, but something’s wrong. Something’s different. Maybe she hadn’t been, I don’t know, on fire the last time he saw her.
“They wanted to make you human, huh? Wanted to make you normal, like them. Well, you aren’t normal, you’re better than that! Better than them, so stop it. Don’t be like them. This isn’t real! You have to break out of this, or you’ll just keep killing them over and over again! Don’t you see what’s happening?”
Day 84, Dream 3
She walks through these flashes of memory -- and dimly, she sees them for that -- passing from one scene to another with gentle curiosity, searching for the little girl at the source.
Re: Day 84, Dream 3
"Hello. What's your name?" Part of Charlie knows this is a dream and assumes Shiala is part of it, but part of her is that eight year old kid in pigtails so this woman is a curiosity. One she isn't afraid of.
Re: Day 84, Dream 3
So it would seem. A birthday, perhaps, or some other small celebration with the family. Something that humans take as significant, at any rate.
Re: Day 84, Dream 3
"I turned eight!" She says this proudly, a grin on her small face.
Re: Day 84, Dream 3
"How exciting," she says. "What do you do at your party?"
Because she's curious. Zhu's Hope doesn't have much in the way of children.
Re: Day 84, Dream 3
Charlie doesn't seem to like this much. She looks over at Shiala.
"This happens two times a day. Sometimes more. It scares them."
Re: Day 84, Dream 3
And harassment isn't unfamiliar either. Of course it would be frightening. On the face of it, Shiala can see no reason for it, but this is a haunted household.
"This is a special day for you. You should not let this intrude upon enjoying your birthday."
Day 85 Dream 1
Ellen follows the little girl and then gets around her to the front. Ellen isn't holding a gun, she isn't threatening at all. She just wants to talk to her. Instead of standing, she crouches down.
"Hey, kiddo." Her voice is soft. "It's okay. C'mere. I won't let them hurt you any more." She whispers the words and holds out her hand. Behind her, men race up, guns drawn. Ellen turns and shoots them, then turns back to the little girl. "Never again, alright?"
no subject
"You're not one of them." Which is more observation than question. And if Ellen isn't one of them, then who is she?
"It repeats. It always repeats." Her dreams. It'll start over in a minute or two. For now, everything's slowed down and the men Ellen shot didn't so much drop as they simply stopped moving.
no subject
The hairs on the back of her neck stand up since the men don't fall. She glances around.
"You know the way out?" She wants out of here. This is all wrong.
no subject
"Its a memory. It repeats. There is no way out." To accompany this statement, Charlie slowly twirls a finger in the air, a vague circle. The memory will just go and go until she wakes up.
no subject
Wait. She can believe it. She just generally hopes it doesn't.
"Not today." Ellen walks over and takes the girl's hand. "Today, it stops. Remember something better. Something happy. Anything at all." She will get this girl out of here if she has to do it by force.
Dream 1
But each time, Raphael is getting closer and closer to the little girl.
