Dean would normally bristle at that because he's that protective of Sam, especially young Sam, that hearing a demon comment about him at all would freak him out. This dream, Meg, it's a little bit different, maybe because in the fabric of the dream, they're together or whatever. Or maybe he's just been living with her for a month and working with her before that.

Whatever the reason, he smiles his thanks at her and then lets their beers clink together.

"To sappy apple pie lives." His smile is still warm, only a tiny bit sad, as he raises the glass to his lips to drink.

He wakes up in bed, passed out on his face and feeling pretty good, actually. The details play back as he rubs his face against the pillow, and then he relaxes again, slumping against the bed and sighing.
