There's a knock and Carrie takes another step backwards. What if it's Momma, what if it's one of
them?
Only ....she took care of them didn't she. She looks to the side and flexs her mind. A book on a dresser moves up and drops back down.
She's still safe. She can still do it. That gives her enough confidence to reply to the knock in only a slightly shaky voice.
"Who's there!"
