Who: Norman Bates and Carrie White
When: Day 116
What: Getting to know you!
Where: House 4
Norman is used to waking up and not knowing exactly where he is. He just wasn't used to Mother not being there--
Mother.
He jumps from the bed with a start, practically falling over himself in his haste to leave the room. It wasn't his room; he wasn't in his house. He was... Well, he wasn't quite sure where he was. Last thing he remembered, he'd been cleaning up after Mother's little... incident, and then he'd gone back to bed. Simple. Normal, for lack of a better word. And now he's here.
He's in the kitchen when he hears a... rustling from the other room. Well, that's just great: not only is he in a strange place, without Mother, he's not nearly as alone as he'd hoped he'd be.
He finds a knife-- just a steak knife, not really all that helpful-- on a table and picks it up, slowly advancing in the direction of the noise.

But she's breathing, she can feel her heart beat. And slowly getting to her feet she can feel that there are no wounds on her anywhere.
She doesn't know where she is though. Maybe someone found her?
(someone took her? Momma warned her....Momma....)
Her eyes go wide and she backs away from the door when she hears movement on the other side.

On the other hand, it is only polite. And who knows? It might be Mother in there, and she would definitely want him to knock.
So, he knocks twice, rather tentatively.

Only ....she took care of them didn't she. She looks to the side and flexs her mind. A book on a dresser moves up and drops back down.
She's still safe. She can still do it. That gives her enough confidence to reply to the knock in only a slightly shaky voice.
"Who's there!"
no subject
... Mostly sure.
He clears his throat, trying to get rid of the last traces of panic in his voice. "I'm, uh, Norman. Norman Bates," he says. "I just woke up here, and, ah, I was wondering if you had any idea where 'here' is?"

Just in case.
She'll stand there looking out, nervously trying to tell if this person is lying to her.
"My name's Carrie White. I don't know, I just woke up here too."

It's then that he notices the camera.
At least, he thinks it's a camera. It's a great deal fancier and smaller than any of the models he's ever seen, but it has the same basic look as a video camera. Why there would be a camera in a girl's room, why, he can't even imagine...
And then he notices that there are more cameras.
He turns suddenly, leaving her there, going to get a chair to stand on so he can get a better look at the device.

And then she see's it as well and her eyes go wide.
"....is that....a camera?"

"There's another one out here!"
She stares at the camera's she's located.
Not just her room then. That's...still not good. But better.

"Well, we don't have to stand for that, do we?" He grasps the camera in front of him tightly and pulls with all his (somewhat negligible) strength. It comes off in chunks and pieces and falls, useless, to the floor. At the very least, it makes him feel better.

It's a half conscious reply. Carrie is looking around the house now. It looks like people just got up and left. But that doesn't explain the cameras...or why they're there.
And there seem to be more cameras. She flexes her mind and the lens of one cracks. But she leaves it at that. She's not sure if she wants to let this strange man know what she can do.
He could be lying about bringing her here after all. Trying to get her trust. But she can play along if that is the case and if it isn't he's just as confused as her.

Yes, the most logical explanation. Surely, this is the work of aliens, probably revenge for that Roswell that happened when he was a kid.
"I've never seen anything like this," he says, noticing and examining the strange watch on his wrist as well. "Like any of this."
no subject
"Are these....watches?"

He starts pressing random buttons: the tried and true method of experimentation for people lost in time.
