Who: Brigid
When: Day 121
Where: The Tunnels
What: Catch-all log for Brigid

OOC: Brigid will be around the pack for most of the time. However, she has plans with Raphael, the pack, and a few others. Tag in, with a general time that you want her, and I will hit everyone back.

Note: She entered the tunnels with the following things:

- Her bag
- Her makeshift cane
- The book that she came back to the cape with
- Pens/pencils/paper
- Flashlight

The thumping at least, alerts him to someone being around, and he recognizes Brigid's voice, at least. In the lingering panic, he'd gotten completely turned around though and had almost frozen. The yelp startles him and he swings around - getting a face fulls of light in the blackness.

Oops, bad idea, but too late, since he moves to cover his eyes with a forearm. "Yes. Move that out of my face." He doesn't mean to bark - Gabriel being gone, Lucifer being...well himself, now this, his temper is frayed.

It takes him time to blink away the colors in his eyes but he finally does manage he does go to help her. "Just don't point that at people's faces." It's huffed, and close up, where he reaches over to steady her with a damp palm, it's probably more clear that whatever is effecting her is effecting him.

Those who have never been so powerless fear it - he doesn't know how to do this either.

He's not meaning to be unkind - fear, an emotion so rarely felt and tied in with Falling so tightly, isn't one he at all knows how to handle, even less well than other emotions.

"I've been better." It's an understatement and dry. "You look the same." He'd figured out it wasn't just the angels.

"I didn't mean..." Literally. There are some things Raphael is frighteningly literal about, other (fewer) were he's given to figures of speech. "But yes, that's an accurate description of the circumstances."

He knows, beyond a doubt, that he could demand her light. But that would leave her in the dark and he won't take that from her. "Walk with me a while." He's beg forgiveness later from wandering. Brigid had been silent too long to account for sleeping while healing, he wanted to know why.

Raphael's trying to slow his pace to match hers, but it was awkward and he was trying to not block the path of her light but also trying to see with it - he kept fumbling into her way. "Yes, they are."

He took the flashlight, turning it over in his hands before figuring out how to turn it on, and letting the light beam bounce off the wall of the tunnel, and almost instantly transfers it into his left hand. "Could we borrow this?" His brothers and him.

It helps, certainly, not that he's anymore at least. He didn't like it, didn't like being so limited.

"You are allowed to say no." In some things, anyway. Others he might insist more. Regardless he was grateful for the flashlight, since he didn't believe any of them had one.

"I don't believe you would. I'm merely saying you can." At least, for now.

"I don't pretend to understand why humans, or close enough, do what they do. Or don't. It makes me curious, but not enough to force the issue without good reason." And he didn't just mean the flashlight.

"I told you you weren't." He's too annoyed at the circumstances - being down here without his Grace, his brothers scattered, one missing, to bother continuing the hypothetical.

"You can pray or not as it comforts you, I'm not offended. But given the circumstances, it's not the behavior I've come to know from you." He's actually trying not to scold and it's more difficult than most would think.
servingmichael: (Fine. I will explain again)

"There's a breadth of information between those two statements that you need to fill me in on." It was quiet, but no less firm for it. Normally he might be more concerned about her distress but now was not the time for tears.

"I know what you believe." It's not said to be dismissive but to reassure her that he did understand. "And Gabriel can be rather cankerous, especially if he was looking for me." Because if he was looking, that meant Raphael hadn't wanted to be found.

"As for intruding on us? My younger brother can wear earplugs, and if Gabriel takes exception to it, call to me." Because for all he did love Gabriel and didn't want to push him away...he would enforce the hierarchy, and ruthlessly so if he had to.
servingmichael: (Lecturing little brothers. Again)

[personal profile] servingmichael 2013-10-28 06:08 am (UTC)(link)
It is and isn't - he doesn't know Gabriel's issue, and he will find out later, when Gabriel is returned to him - but it's impossible to separate brothers having spats and trampling over each other's duties. Still, despite their similarities to Lucifer, it's unlike either of them to lash out at each other by going after his brother's pets.

"If you mention one of us by name, we'll hear it and the others won't. Open prayers, all can hear, even to our Father. Conversely you can exclude one in the same way." So ignoring Gabriel was an option as well.
servingmichael: Did I hurt your delicate princess feelings? (This is my Lucifer face)

"I'm not criticizing you. No one else should either." They - especially archangels - had learned to filter out what was important, what wasn't, what needed your attention and didn't. Being 'too loud' was likely some excuse, and Raphael was curious about it. "Gabriel abandoned us long ago. Likely he disliked being reminded of who he was, especially as he is lying to people about it."

"I'm sure you didn't cause him trouble." He didn't mean it just to reassure her, he did mean that Brigid just...wasn't trouble, most of the time. That business with her going feral or whatever it was had been. "And my brothers and I will find him, when we are out of here."
