She hears a noise and yelps, jumping and hitting the wall. Her cane is jarred from her hand and falls. "Shoot!" Brigid hisses, trying to reach for it. Her leg is really hurting, from being in the tunnels all day.
"I wasn't. But then Stiles bounced ahead and I think Derek went after him and I haven't seen Isaac in forever and..." Brigid sighs, sliding down the wall. "Sorry. Could you get my cane for me?"

"Here. Sorry about that," he sounds a little sheepish about startling her so badly. "I wasn't trying to sneak up on you. My name's Sam."

Her leg aches and she wants to crawl into a hot shower and then a bed for a week.
"There's no need to apologize. I don't know how humans do it, being blind and deaf." She shakes her head. "I feel like half my head's been cut off." She wants to be able to smell and hear and know things again. It's something she relies on, beyond all reason.
Maybe she should learn how to work without her senses, but she's never been without them. "Are you alright?"
no subject
"So, you've got some super powered senses of your own, huh? Seems like everyone's running into trouble down here." He muses on this for a moment before clearing his throat, casting a look down at her. "I'm good. Ready to find a way out of here, kind of wish I'd stayed behind where it wasn't so cramped."
He's half joking, since it will be a cold day in hell before he lets his brother venture into a mysterious tunnel system without him by his side. Still, it's hard not to at least miss seeing the sky.

"If this were the full moon, I doubt they could take our powers so thoroughly." Brigid mutters. She wishes it was the full moon. She wants the flush of power, controlled, but still there. Brigid just wants to move without pain or stiffness.
"You do know there's no way back, right?" She asks. "The tunnels collapsed behind us."
no subject
"You ran into Raphael?" He glances behind them, a reflex, as if the angel will appear at the mention of his name. Sam knows he can't, but that doesn't keep him from looking anyway. "Is he with the other angels?"
Angel powers or no, Sam is definitely giving them some space.
"Yeah, I know. I think it happened after everyone managed to get down here."
no subject
It's enough to make her fear smiting just by standing near them!
"He's Saint Raphael." She says, though she doubts it will do any good at all. It never does. "And he mentioned being with his brothers, yes." Brigid shakes her head. "Do you show disrespect to everyone or is it just religious figures?"
The question is a touch more bitter than she had planned, but she's tired of having everything she believes almost openly mocked.
no subject
Or maybe she has,and just assumes that's expected.
"I've got some history with the angels. Most of it pretty rough. Might wanna keep that in mind before you jump to assumptions." He says this without any hints of irritation or upset - he knows she isn't familiar with his history, and to an outsider yeah, he looks disrespectful. His family has been screwed over too much by those from Heaven. "I take it you're religious then?"
no subject
Brigid huffs out a sigh. "Please, understand, I'm not trying to diminish your experiences. I just find it uncomfortable to be so familiar with the Hands of God. It's disrespectful at least and close to blaspheme at most."
She understands that her faith is not everyone else's. Brigid does understand that. But while she respects other people, it just feels as if others do not respect her.
"I should find the rest of the pack." Yes, pack.
no subject
He'd been a little naive about them, he's able to admit that now. He can understand where she's coming from.
"I understand. Trust me, if you'd experienced what I have..." and it's too long of a story to get in to, and besides. She didn't ask, and he isn't exactly comfortable discussing his past in general. "Just find it hard to respect them after the things I've seen them do, that's all."
He nods, a hand pushing his hair out of his face. "Right. You gonna be okay on your own, then?"
no subject
Her head cocks to the side and she wishes she had her actual senses, so that maybe she could understand what he's talking about.
"Angels in the Bible weren't kind, nor gentle. There were places where they could be, but they did slaughter a lot of innocent children as punishment once." Brigid knows her Bible, and it's why she'd been so taken aback when St. Gabriel had yelled at her.
"I should be. The Alpha probably isn't far away and Stiles... well, he's better off down here than any of us. He's used to being blind, deaf and nose-dumb." Brigid wrinkles her nose. "Sorry, nothing against humans, but when you lose half of your abilities, it gets annoying."
no subject
"It's fine, I get it." He offers her a half smile. It's hard to be separated from those he knows and trusts. Sam's just a stranger to her, so he can't really blame her. "Be careful, okay?"
He might not know her, but that doesn't mean he wants her to be hurt or worse down here. Especially since she has senses that are normally blocked. It's times like this he's thankful to be human without those extra abilities - he doesn't have to worry about being rendered virtually blind.
no subject
Sighing, she shifts her stance. "You be careful as well. The people who grabbed us haven't been very altruistic to begin with."
And these tunnels can't be that helpful.
