Notess: Party style thread guys, so go nuts. No order, everything is chaos, tag to your hearts content, feel free to break off into separate threads, and no spiking the punch! Also I think she's sort of mentioned it to a bunch of people but want to do me some lovely favours and handwave the actual name drawing? I will backtag if people want but it seems a little pointless to thread that out.

There's another message on the network that morning from Anna, just audio again. It's about as garbled as her first one regarding the Secret Santa idea, but for anyone who is listening closely enough they'll make out a few details. Namely this evening, town hall, and bring your presents before she shuts it off.

She's spent the rest of the day trying to do what she can to make the place look nicer. She's hardly got Christmas decorations on tap, but she's done what she can with what she has all the same. There's paper snow flakes up around the place, some of the food from her house placed in bowls to make it more party-appropriate, and it's no fir but she has relocated a small tree from the edge of the woods and placed it in the hall. Barely decorated, not even the right kind of tree, it's the best she can do with the resources she's been given.

Now all there is to do is wait for people to come.

"... Yeah. I copy." Messed in the head or not, there is a time to listen to listen to Party. Ghoul can usually tell when he says shit he doesn't mean and when he means shit he doesn't say. He nods, keeping his eyes on the Kid, and sways poisonward. "So what didja get me?"

Oooh, a scowl. With his free hand, he pinches the back of Ghoul's arm. "Didn't getchu anything, Christmas is bullshit. I just did Anna and left it alone."

"Christmas is fuckin' magical! People giving other people stuff any not wanting anything for it. It's beautiful, man. Admit it. That's not bullshit. That's beautiful." But oooooh Anna. Ghoul's grinning like an idiot. "She's pretty nice."

"She's alright. Better than her fuckin--housemates. Whatever. I drew her name, if I wanna give people shit, I'll give them shit, I don't need a designated 'giveday.'"

"So I'll be expecting my shit tomorrow, then. Bright and early. Better be good, huh? Because I'm worth it." His free hand slips out of his pocket and grabs Party by the chin to make him nod his head in agreement.

"F--stop!" He jams his palm in Ghoul's face. "I'm givin you coal, cuz yer a fuckin brat, is what I'm givin you!"

"Coal? Fuckin-- where the hell are you even gonna get coal anyway? Don't give me coal. Baby, I been so good all year! I been a prince t'you! You're the brat." Only brats shove hands in people's faces. Well behaved boys and girls get their friends in a headlock and go to town with knuckles against red, red hair. Enjoy!

"Christ--christ! Okay, diamonds! I'll hunt a fuckin boar, you want a boar? I'll make it happen! G, cut it out!" He has an image to maintain!

Heh. Alright, alright. He releases him and slaps him on the back, right between the shoulder blades. His hand just stays where it is after that. The mock gasp that comes out of him is pure daytime soap opera shit, but the cocky fuckin' grin that follows it is pure Fun Ghoul.

"Diamonds? Didn't even know ya cared an' now you wanna put a ring on it? Dunno if I wanna be tied down! This is so sudden-- you didn't even get down on one knee-- Okay, I accept!"

Party grimaces and stretches, massaging his own neck because Ghoul just hurt him so badly. "Alright. I just gotta find me a mine then. Getchu that shinier coal. That puts you on daddy duty, right? Cuz mama needs a little help tonight."

"Y'never had much trouble finding deep, dark holes before." He leans over and whispers real close, "I believe in you."

But daddy duty, huh? He shrugs. Yeah. Why not. "If you're talking about our Kid, when don't I help?" And if he's not... seriously, when doesn't he help? "He been talkin' to many people?" About them, he means. Saying things that maybe shouldn't be said. Letting information slip. Giving them ammo against their crew.

He totally doesn't shiver and Kobra Kid isn't misbehaving. Not now, anyway. Party's fingers dart up over his ear to rub away the tickle where Ghoul's whispering stirred it up, and he grins. "Both the Kids, iffen y'don't mind. Look, no biggie, just--you think you can keep'm both away from my room tonight?"

Aha! Point proven, right on schedule. Ghoul perks up, grinning again, and reaches out to re-arrange Party's hair into something not even close to presentable. "Yeah, I can manage. I'll think of something. Not like it's gonna take very long with you, huh?"

"Hey!" The point at Ghoul is sharp, but his tone is still playful. "New town, new timing. I am all sorts of thorough anymore."

Simmer down, sassafrass. Ghoul's hands flash palms-up, defensively, before covering his heart because, betch, ya just broke it. Be still his still-beating piece of shattered garbage. Or just be still joking, "Sounds like one lucky diamond mine. Do I get a hint? Or are you too ashamed the only bunny you could trap looks better in the dark?"

His lips press flat. And he bites his lower one. And grins. And slips up behind Ghoul to wrap arms around his waist and turn him like a periscope till he can get the bunny in question in both their sights. "Shame nothin, you know I got no shame. Check it."

Kenzi is just really pretty. Honestly, the dark is his fucking friend generally, but this is a full light-show situation. Party's arms tighten around Ghoul as he sucks in an excited breath. "So I need a little time. Think you can manage, hm?"

How the fuck is this fair at all? Suddenly all Ghoul wants is his very own lovely lady for the holidays. He woulda had one, too, if it wasn't for Angry Trenchcoat! Even KK's got a steady supply. At this point, Kid Blue is starting to look appetizing. But hey, maybe there's still hope for Anna!

Ghoul lets out an appreciative, low whistle. Not admitting defeat, just agreeing that a little time is definitely needed. But this isn't over. Now this shit is a competition. "Yeah, yeah. I'll manage just fine. You won't hear a peep from either of 'em. Promise." His hand comes up to pat Party's cheek. You did good, good boy. Kobra's still in the lead, but good.

"Thanks, pops." Party hums and presses hi mouth warmly next to Ghoul's ear. "Don't worry, miss thing: you'll get your groove back."
