Santa Claus is coming to town

What: Present giving! The Secret Santa reveal, and anyone who wants to have a christmas party is welcome to join too!
Notess: Party style thread guys, so go nuts. No order, everything is chaos, tag to your hearts content, feel free to break off into separate threads, and no spiking the punch! Also I think she's sort of mentioned it to a bunch of people but want to do me some lovely favours and handwave the actual name drawing? I will backtag if people want but it seems a little pointless to thread that out.


There's another message on the network that morning from Anna, just audio again. It's about as garbled as her first one regarding the Secret Santa idea, but for anyone who is listening closely enough they'll make out a few details. Namely this evening, town hall, and bring your presents before she shuts it off.

She's spent the rest of the day trying to do what she can to make the place look nicer. She's hardly got Christmas decorations on tap, but she's done what she can with what she has all the same. There's paper snow flakes up around the place, some of the food from her house placed in bowls to make it more party-appropriate, and it's no fir but she has relocated a small tree from the edge of the woods and placed it in the hall. Barely decorated, not even the right kind of tree, it's the best she can do with the resources she's been given.

Now all there is to do is wait for people to come.

"I would, buddy, but you kinda got a deathgrip on my lovely locks." Ghoul doesn't need an explanation. He needs to get out of here with what little dignity and cojones he had left.

"Babe, no offense, but next time maybe warn a guy about your psycho exes. I just wanted a holiday kiss! It's Christmas, man, come on!"

If pleading doesn't work, fighting is plan B. Even though Ghoul really doesn't like his chances.

Castiel lets go, not bothering to move much beyond the slacking grip.

"He was trying to kiss you." It's his only answer. It completely explains his anger. This human, this child is unworthy of Anna's attention.

Anna turns her head somewhat sharply to look at Ghoul, her bewilderment written all over her face as she protests his comments. "Not my ex, okay? The farthest thing from my ex!"

Come to think of it Castiel has been acting odd around her since he first approached her at the party, though she hadn't been expecting this. She breathes out a soft sigh of relief as he lets go, and quickly uses the opportunity to get between the two of them.

Don't mistake that relief for her not being irritated though, because when she turns to Castiel it's with an incredibly annoyed expression, eyebrows furrowed and jaw tense as she hisses under her breath at him. "Yes, and what part of that is your business?"

Not an ex. Okay. Good to know. Just some crazed psycho running around interrupting kisses with pretty ladies. He runs a hand through his hair and points at Castiel from the safety of BEHIND ANNA.

"He botherin' you, beautiful? I'll handle it if he is."

He's only interested in interrupting one pretty lady and that pretty lady is Anna. Of course, when faced with Anna's question, he really doesn't have an answer other than the fact that the idea makes his blood boil, so he simply doesn't answer.

"I'd like to see you try to handle me."

"There will be no handling!"

Anna keeps herself firmly placed between the two of them, quickly turning and placing a hand on their chests to keep them separated. In any other situation she'd probably find it almost flattering to have two guys fighting over her, but here and now it's just concerning.

Castiel could take the other guy out easily if he wanted to, and there's no way she's letting things get that heated if she can help it. She just hopes that Ghoul doesn't rise to his bait. She can stop him if she wants to, of course. She's stronger and faster, and she can get them out of here before he even has a chance to try and take on Cas, but she's trying to play human here, trying to remain subtle and fly under the radar. Those options are far too obvious and public.

"Okay, time out. Since when did you start acting like a drunk guy in a bar?" And okay, maybe Cas won't get that reference, but cut her some slack, she's a little overwhelmed here.
