Santa Claus is coming to town

What: Present giving! The Secret Santa reveal, and anyone who wants to have a christmas party is welcome to join too!
Notess: Party style thread guys, so go nuts. No order, everything is chaos, tag to your hearts content, feel free to break off into separate threads, and no spiking the punch! Also I think she's sort of mentioned it to a bunch of people but want to do me some lovely favours and handwave the actual name drawing? I will backtag if people want but it seems a little pointless to thread that out.


There's another message on the network that morning from Anna, just audio again. It's about as garbled as her first one regarding the Secret Santa idea, but for anyone who is listening closely enough they'll make out a few details. Namely this evening, town hall, and bring your presents before she shuts it off.

She's spent the rest of the day trying to do what she can to make the place look nicer. She's hardly got Christmas decorations on tap, but she's done what she can with what she has all the same. There's paper snow flakes up around the place, some of the food from her house placed in bowls to make it more party-appropriate, and it's no fir but she has relocated a small tree from the edge of the woods and placed it in the hall. Barely decorated, not even the right kind of tree, it's the best she can do with the resources she's been given.

Now all there is to do is wait for people to come.

"Oh." As if to see if he's lying, she waves her hand in front of his face. Hmm...

"So if I were topless right now, you'd have to believe me, right? Or feel me up. Or something."

She frowns at him, gnawing on her lip. Something is... wrong about this. "You don't like not being able to see."

He doesn't react to the hand waving, though he can feel a slight displacement of air against his skin. What does get a reaction is the topless comment. He grins, tipping his head to the side like he's trying to get a better view. "I could always do both."

The grin fades then, as Tony shrugs. "Not really. I've never--This hasn't happened to me before and I have to admit, I'm a little attached to my sight. It's--I'll get used to it. In time."

Not that he wants it to last so long that he does get used to it, but he doesn't want to worry or upset her, either. Or drag down the boring old people party any more than it already is.

"Only if you're blind for years and years. And years." And maybe longer, but he probably doesn't want to hear that. Ugh. Depressing. Time for a subject change.

She walks her fingers up his chest. "I promise I'll fuck you sideways whether you can see or not. 'Cause that's what friends do, right?" If they're friends. She's not friends like him like she is with Kenzi. Part of her suspects she could torture people in front of Kenzi and she'd be cool with it, whereas Tony might... not be so cool.

Tony really hopes that it doesn't come to that. Being blind for a day is bad enough. For years and years and even more years sounds like hell.

Her proposal makes him laugh, though. Dipping his chin, he lets himself laugh until he's all laughed out and reaches to touch her shoulder. Hopefully it's her shoulder. Sometimes his aim is a little off. "Yeah, you're right. Sideways fucking is definitely what friends do."

Even though he can't see her, he lifts his head and smiles. "Thanks, Elle. Really. I needed that."

She suspects what he's aiming for and gently moves his hand to her- no, not breast. That would be awkward for him at this angle. Waist, then, maybe? Geez. Why does Tony think she's so tall? Of course, she is usually wearing taller heels.

"I wouldn't offer if I didn't mean it, though." And never mind that she doesn't understand what's so funny. She'd meant it. Sure, yes. She'd been trying to make him feel better, but not that much better.

"So what are you doing here if you're blind and not interested in dancing and stuff?"

“I wouldn’t either.” Sobering slightly, he winks at her. Or at the very least, he winks in her direction. “Trust me on that.”

His fingers flex against her waist, not quite a squeeze but still acknowledgement and thanks. For being there. For making him laugh. For talking to him at the party and treating him like a person instead of a freak.

“Never said I wouldn’t dance. I mean, I might look stupid and step on toes like this, but that wouldn’t stop me.” Dipping his head, he nods toward the bag at his feet. “I did, however, have to come give a present to my Secret Santa. How about you? What brought you out here tonight?”
