The ropes tightly binding the metal crates together managed to keep the pyramid formation intact even as it impacted the ground. Each crate was about five feet by five feet and the entire pyramid stood at least two stories high. Some of them are empty, some aren't meant to be opened, but there are a few that contain something special.

If you can cut away the ropes and pry open the lids, you might find a real treasure! Or you might regret giving in to your curiosity.

Running is a good idea. I like running. Lets go with that. [She stares at the box and then looks over at him, frowning.] You go first. I'll hold it until you get down safely and that way you won't accidentally crush the only guitar we have.

[Or break your neck or get bitten by snakes or twist an ankle or-- just... no Galen getting hurt is what she's getting at here. She fully intends to keep a box full of hissing (and RATTLING? OH MY FUCKING GOD) snakes closed so he can get away.]

[ He takes a couple steps down the pile, holding the guitar out to the side carefully, but that's it. ] Okay, c'mon. I'm pretty sure snakes don't have the upper body strength to open a box, but -- on three?

They can open wicker baskets if you play the flute! But whatever! [Deeeeeeeeeep breath.] One... two ... three-HOLYFUCK!

[She hops down from crate to crate, thankful that laziness took over and they didn't get half as high up as she planned. No way in hell is she going to look back! Not until they hit the ground.]

[ Heart jumping up into his throat, Galen takes Kenzi's good arm and hops down the rest of the way with her -- and if she doesn't object, he's just gonna keep running for a moment here. ]

[No objections, just-- ... concern. Concern and definite attachment for the sake of safety. SAFETY! But when they stop, she just has to ask--] Galen ... Squishy, are you in a hatemance with those tails with faces?

[ When they stop, he holds the guitar protectively and looks at Kenzi. ] Uh -- if you mean do I wish they'd shrivel up and die, pretty much, yeah.

[For some reason, she looks really, really excited... this can't be good.]

Did I just totally save you from a phobia?! HELLS YES! I just saved your life, dude! From snakes. A BOX of them! I am soooooo amazing. Found you a guitar and saved your life.

[ A-pffff, he nudges her. ] It's not a phobia, I just -- don't like them. Especially ones that rattle.

[She nudges back!] We almost DIED! Wanna open another one!? Or do we just snipe stuff other people find... or get Jesse and go home. I vote for more boxes!

Uh, I'll stick around, but I'm gonna leave the boxes alone for a bit. [ Snakes aside, he's kind of itching to give this guitar some attention. ]

[Fiiiine. Galen and logic are just kind of a package deal, huh? Heh. Package. The voice of reason has spoken and Kenzi just kind of shrugs and points to the gazebo.

They can go sit, he can mess with the guitar, and they can watch the craziness until she feels up to diving back in or it's time to go home. Plus, she'd be lying if she said she wasn't dying to hear him play that thing.]
