That is mahogany!
Who: OPEN
What: Some crates fell from the sky
Where: The Park, near the gazebo
When: Evening, day 42
Warnings: Injury, snakes, spiders, gore, violence, strong language, will update as needed
Other: Please feel free to have characters jump around. If your character moves threads and it's relatively continuous, please link the earlier thread to the later one and try to follow a tag order/try not to cram too many people into one thread. Prose or action spam is fine. Ping a mod if you need anything!
The ropes tightly binding the metal crates together managed to keep the pyramid formation intact even as it impacted the ground. Each crate was about five feet by five feet and the entire pyramid stood at least two stories high. Some of them are empty, some aren't meant to be opened, but there are a few that contain something special.
If you can cut away the ropes and pry open the lids, you might find a real treasure! Or you might regret giving in to your curiosity.
Don't forget to share, boys and girls.

[ For all her hiding and whining about it, when he stumbles a little she's quick to reach and grab his arm lightly, holding a moment before flicking his elbow when she lets go. ] I swear to God, you faceplant it and that thing gets you, I'm not sucking poison, not a chance in hell.
[ And then she just gives him another good old unimpressed look, because if he's seriously asking her about karaoke then that's just ridiculous. She's never rolled her eyes as much as she does these days. ] Me? No. Never, but I bet someone around here does. Look, focus okay?

[ Cue an eye roll here at her concern, though the hand at his arm is kinda touching - she's worried about this snake, and it's half a mind to just let the damn thing go now and forget it all, but he's already halfway there and so determined. ] I'm movin', I'm concentratin', alright? Look, you can't rush art -
[ As he scoops the snake a bit and nudges it into the crate, slams the lid down on over it once he manages the act and claps his hands down on the wood in a celebratory kind of way. ] Fuckin'- yeah. Bitch.

[ Pretty sure they don't call people Floyd in Mississippi, but he's not going to argue that point. It's not like she's been there after all. The eye roll gets a look and a quick poke out of her tongue because whatever, she's totally not worried or anything. ]
Hey- hey look you actually got it? [ She's still not hugely thrilled with the snake idea, but he looks thrilled with himself and she's not about to ruin that by being scared. She just grins, pushing his arm lightly. ] Not bad, not bad. Tamed the beast.

[ He lets her push him, elbowing her lightly in the side where he stands and beating the crate closed before he starts tapping a finger lightly on the side, as though it's a fish tank. ] Ya okay in there, buddy?
[ His attention diverts back to Laura with a half a grin. ] Thanks, man. I tried. Look, I ain't gonna plant him in your bed or anything, so just quit the worryin'. [ Not until he knows it's not poisonous, that is. ] How's about we check out what kinda other food we can snag while we're at it?

But she's totally going back to this whole snake thing. She can deal with this, it's not like she's petrified of the things after all. They're actually pretty fascinating, so long as they're not like. Touching her and stuff like that. If it somehow miraculously ends up in her bed heads are going to roll. ] Yeah well, better not. And you can feed it gross mice and stuff too, I'm not doing any of that.
[ It's not often she gets grossed out by things, but feeding small rodents to an animal that already freaks her out? She draws the line there, and she doesn't even care if he calls her girly for it. ]
You know it's your turn to stick your hand in first then, right? I'm not taking the next one, it could be spiders.
