Mina was in a surprisingly good mood that evening. For once. For a change. True, she'd recently been insulted, attacked by mutant spiders, and lost her dearest rival. But things felt surprisingly light. Who knew what the cause was?

Who cared?

That evening, she decided she would take a dip in the harbor. As she made her way out of the house, without her blazer, her sleeves rolled up to the reveal the P-shaped scar on her arm, she happened to spot a stranger.

Well, everyone here was strange. But he was new. And exceedingly well-dressed. Mina loved a man in a suit. So she paused, watching him curiously from beneath the brim of her fedora.

Lucifer would have to be insensate, or mortal, not to notice the addition of another angel to the humans' little cage. Not just any angel, either, but one of his true brothers. To leave him to his own devices and make no attempt at contacting him isn't something he can do, and with precious little hesitation, he goes to find him. It isn't unduly difficult, though it is clear from the almost erratic sense that he gets of him that he isn't staying in one place too long.

Drama dictates that upon locating him, Lucifer arrive with measured gait and considerable ceremony. He's never been particularly fond of it, however, and it's with no fanfare but the faint rustle of wings that he appears a short distance away from his younger brother. Unlike Raphael, always so polished, Lucifer looks shabby by comparison: worn jeans, untucked t-shirt, slightly disheveled hair. He has neither need nor desire to impress, and he has yet to find reason to alter Nick's wardrobe of choice.

"Raphael." His voice is coolly neutral, though there's a quirk to an eyebrow that suggests that he's somewhat amused. "Here for the reunion? I trust you didn't bring a plus one."

By evening, Raphael's mood had long since settled in something close wanting to rain divine wrath down upon this place. Except his recently deceased and recently trapped brothers where here. And Raphael wasn't quite willing, just yet, to let either of them out of his fingers.

He isn't the archangel associated with water, that's the youngest, but he is the patron of fisherman, so probably wouldn't surprise those who knew him to know he was on the road to the water.

Mina's presence caused him to look over, head cocked in a manner suggesting a bird, rather than a human. He can tell what she is, but he can't read her. Back home, he'd wonder if Mother-of-All hadn't gotten free of Purgatory and was experimenting again. But this wasn't home, so Raphael continued to watch, unconcerned with either or not this stranger could even be a threat.

It didn't take Mina long to suss out that they were both now eyeballing each other. She could not detect a predator's taint from him, but something in his body language was eerily familiar. She couldn't place it just yet, but she knew it would bother her if she didn't investigate it further. She was a scientist, after all. And people were her medium of choice. Admittedly, the social sciences were occasionally quite appalling. But they were often the only way to pass the time around this place.

With two fingers, she flicked back the brim of her hat politely. She was, first and foremost, always a gentleman. At least, she tried to be. Even if this place tested her manners on occasion.

Or on a weekly basis.

"You're new," she remarked. Although, judging by the expression on his face, she felt reasonably certain he was actually quite old.

Raphael had made a quick count of heads, but finding not just Lucifer but Gabriel there had left him stunned enough he hadn't pounced on either of them. Anna and Castiel where just more news, neither entirely welcome. When Lucifer became more welcome than a once respected commander...well. But Raphael hadn't taken to being the only archangel left well.

At Lucifer's arrival, Raphael partly turned, shoulder rolled down and forward, a movement suggesting that where he to manifest his wings, he'd be looking at Lucifer over the top of them, head only slightly cocked. Studying. The vessel gave a basic timeline, which was useful.

And infuriating, not that he didn't force that emotion away.

"Lucifer." Raphael's tone is more curious than neutral, jaw tensed in unease. "There is only one plus one I'd bring."

The second eyebrow lifts to join the first as he takes in his brother's stance. Lucifer himself is the epitome of careless negligence, hands haphazardly tucked in his pockets like he'd been in the middle of a casual stroll through a park before he'd stopped to chat.

"But poor little Michael's still stuck in the cage, isn't he?" Clicking his tongue, Lucifer shakes his head in mock disappointment. He may not have experienced the future, but he's listened to what the others have said. The Winchesters win. He gets locked away again, this time in the company of his self-righteous brother. "Guess we'll just have to make do without him."

Which, as far as Lucifer is concerned, is a positive side-effect of being here. No Michael. No Apocalypse. Not yet, anyway. The slow trickle of angels and demons arriving in town hints that that reprieve might be a thing of the past.

It's entirely by accident that Anna runs into him.

She's just walking, minding her own business, and she's got enough going on that she doesn't notice his arrival. Lucifer, demons, it's a lot to try to stay on top of, even more so considering she's trying to do it subtly. She's trying to think of places that they might not frequent, places that she could set up as safe houses in the event that anyone ever may need it. She doesn't want to get herself on the radar again, so Anna can't have them find out sooner than in said emergency.

She's distracted enough that when he appears, with the wings and the thunder and his presence, her first reaction is just to freeze. Her second is to contemplate running, but it's a bit late for that now. Instead, she just stands as straight as possible, looks around to make sure there's no one else who can see them. She's not having her secret revealed like this, not a chance. When she's sure no one is in close proximity, she gives a short, stiff nod.

"Raphael, you're here too."

In some ways that absolutely none of the general host could ever understand, Raphael would always be the little brother. And he hadn't seen Lucifer since Michael had locked him away - after he'd killed Gabriel, Michael had issued the rare order to Raphael, ordering him to stay away, not to seek out their fallen brother. He hadn't seen Lucifer in a long time - and he hadn't thought he would be so quickly sought out.

The comment pulls him up from his surprise, body still, a barely repressed snarl tugging at his mouth for an instant. Michael had been the last of his brothers to fall, in one way or another, and he's grown dependent on Michael's steading presence. Shouldering the burden of running Creation hadn't been as hard with him there.

And what the Winchesters had done...Raphael had never even considered as a possibility.

"For someone who claimed he didn't want to fight, you're doing a rather poor job." It's tense, an accusation. He knows, truly knows, Lucifer doesn't lie - but he doesn't believe what he heard either. Cant believe it.

It was common for people to be, at best, unnerved by the presence of an angel. Something so much more than human, wrapped in a tiny borrowed package. When her hat flicked, Raphael inclined his head slightly, returning the greeting.

"I arrived this morning." It's calm. He's bumped into a few of his siblings since, poked about the lay of the land - he is calm, for a certain measure of it. And as of yet, non-threatened. Raphael is older than most of the universe, new things happen rarely.

He certainly wasn't seeking her out, at least, not intentionally. Anna was a spot of soreness didn't discuss, even with Michael. He expects her to bolt, to run, and he wouldn't have given chase, at least not today.

"Anna. You didn't run. That takes courage." He admired courage, even if he disliked where it had taken her. And Uriel. And especially Castiel. "Yes I am here too."

Mina took his response as an invitation. It probably wasn't, but she'd never let that stop her before. So she approached him, taking her hat off and tucking it beneath her arm.

She was a tall woman, with short-cropped brown hair and greenish-blue eyes. She wore a ring on each finger and had an amethyst stud in her left ear. As someone who took pride in her appearance, her suit trousers were neatly pressed, a sharp crease running along either side. Although the sleeves of her button-down were rolled up, her tie was carefully knotted, looking rather pristine.

"I would say 'Welcome to Cape Kore,'" she murmured, her voice wry and amused, "but I do think that should be rather vulgar."

Brigid hadn't known the two they were mourning, but she couldn't do nothing, so she'd done what brought her comfort: she'd gone to the Church to pray. Appropriately, she'd chosen the Sorrowful Mysteries to contemplate on, for the loss of lives.

"Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen." She murmured the old comforting words, missing the lack of rosary in her hand. Her fingers missed the smooth movement of the wooden beads over her skin.

A deep breath and she closed her eyes. The story of the scourging at the pillar rose in her mind, of how Jesus was falsely accused and falsely imprisoned for merely having his faith.

Something fluttered at the edge of her senses, the sound of wings. She frowned and looked around, seeing the young man in the doorway. "You're welcome to join me, if you wish, sir. I didn't know the people that died, but someone should say a prayer."

"Am I?" He looks around, pulling his hands from his pockets and spreading them at his sides, palms outward. "I see no fight. I have no weapon in hand. And I see none in yours."

That observation means nothing, however, and they both know it. No time at all is needed to bring a blade to bear, but for the moment at least, Lucifer has no intention to do so.

Smiling slightly, he tucks his hands away once more and shakes his head. "You need to stop interpreting things you don't like as battle-worthy offenses, little brother," he continues, voice light and easy. Almost friendly. "You'll end up waging war on the entire world with that kind of attitude, and I promise, no one will thank you for it."

Charlie's taken to patrolling when she's anxious and lately, she's constantly anxious. She's in another cage and that angers her. She didn't sense these people like she sensed the Shop. Instead, she just woke up here. No warning. Nothing. Just a piece of crap device on her wrist and cameras everywhere.

And her captors were faceless. At least when the Shop had her, she knew who they were. She knew Wanless and Hollister and Rainbird. All of them. Even that creepy woman who was supposed to keep an eye on her at first.

So now, Charlie is jumpy and wandering and the sound of wings nearby startles her enough so that when she turns towards the source, she lets out her fire first without even bothering to assess if it's a threat or not.

When nothing happens to her target, as far as she can tell, she pulls her fire back immediately, sizing the man up some.

"Who're you?"

It wasn't quite a dismissal, which wasn't the same thing, but as much as Raphael was likely to grant something supernatural in nature.

Raphael suit was on the bland side - black suit, white shirt, pretty pattern on the tie and handkerchief, small tie-tack in the tie, shoes shined brightly. It's expensive, and pristine despite him walking around in it through the woods. He could be a business executive, albeit a conservatively dressed one.

"A greeting not entirely appropriate, no." Raphael had a particular mannerism, making eye contact and keeping it. One of his brothers had once said he could stare down a tsunami down and the weight of his gaze would send it hiding inside the Mariana Trench. Raphael wasn't staring that hard, but he didn't shift his gaze either.

Much like Lucifer, Gabriel knows the moment Raphael arrives. Less like him, he's content to wait a while for a network post, to try to figure out from a safe (ish) distance whether or not it'd be a good idea to approach. After waiting a while though (well, an hour or so -- what? he's impatient), the nerves get a little too much to take, and he pops up a few feet away from Raphael. It's not as if appearing much further away would be any safer, so he might as well make a show of trust. Or at least of not being scared.

"Come to join the party, have you?"

"Neither of us prefer to use it." He hadn't seen Lucifer draw his yet, period, so he felt confidant on the assumption. Archangels rarely needed them. "I don't mock you. Don't mock Michael." Thinking of what the Cage was doing to both his brothers upset him - but Lucifer, arguably, had earned it.

Maybe.

And Raphael was unlikely to draw his own and rick being injured with his own blade. "If I did, they wouldn't notice, for all they do to themselves." Disgust was present, yes, and some might mistake Raphael for being one of the angels who didn't like humanity - but there was also a heavy disappointment to it as well. Raphael did care about humanity, even if they had spoiled everything they'd been given.

Raphael is a little surprised to suddenly be on fire - not that it does him or Donnie any damage. He startled the human near-by - or something close enough to human that it made no difference - and he gives her a second before he reacts. Which, he doesn't need to.

"Raphael." He answers calmly, not upset at the reaction. Fire was Michael's element, he wonders for a moment what he would think of the little pryokenetic.

Roughly an hour in, Raphael is still coming back from the woods, and has only just cleaned his clothing of dirt and debris from the air. We'll just consider that a lesson mostly learned.

He looks over at Raphael - he's taller than Gabriel, in this form, but still shorter than Lucifer. "I believe my invitation was loss in the mail, not that it seems to have made a difference." He knows angels can be resurrected - his current thorn in his side as an example. That doesn't make it less odd to see Gabriel again.

Of course Raphael would investigate the church at some point. That there was a member of the faithful inside had only piqued his interest in it sooner, rather than later.

That the girl was a werewolf surprised him - not many supernatural creatures where amongst the faithful back home, though he didn't hold any particular reason to dismiss those who did. "I've only arrived today, I did not know them either. Merely sought to look over the church." Raphael walked inside, fingers running lightly over the edges of pews as he did. He moved slowly, not from hesitation but because he didn't need to move quickly and he was at ease inside a House of God.

"Oh." She'd thought him someone who'd been here longer than she. Brigid cleared her throat. Her thumb rubbed against the other one, again, wishing for her rosary.

Her prayers interrupted, she pushed herself up and settled on the pew, staring at front of the church. She missed her own church and her priest. Father Thomas would tell her that God never gave them more than they could handle.

She wished God didn't have so much faith in her.

"My name is Brigid. Welcome to Cape Kore."

For someone who has only arrived today, he's remarkably calm and that isn't just a pretense or front put on for the other angels present. He's not happy - he hates being trapped - but he's not agitated at this point.

"I'm Raphael. Thank you for the welcome. I did not mean to interrupt your prayers Brigid. If you wish to continue them, by all means, do so. I'm used to hearing them, and I won't disturb you." Anymore than he had, anyway. He continued to walk around the church, footfalls light, before reaching the alter of the church and stepping up, studying it.

"Charlie. So.." She's still staring, baffled by what she just saw. She has questions, all of them wanting out at once so her reply is stuttered and halted and so very unsure.

"So...what just...how...was that like...rapid healing or something?" She only asks because of Logan. He could heal in a blink and she'd been meeting other mutants lately. This is her only theory.

"Or something." Rapid healing wouldn't explain why his clothing wasn't burned, and despite it being Michael's element almost all of the Host had some control over fire. "You caused me no harm or discomfort. It hadn't been my intention to startle you." He hadn't been considering Charlie at all really.

A small smile. Her favorite archangel. "You didn't interrupt them. I find them hard to concentrate on without the cadence of my rosary." She misses the beautiful rosary her father had given her upon her confirmation.

"Are you a deacon back home?" She asks, because he acts very at home within the church, in a way that most weren't, unless they spend a lot of time there.
