And then things were 'normal'
Who: The Doctor, open to all
When: Days 64-66, a catch all for anyone interested
Where: Around town
What: A catch-all/open thread for those wishing to interact with the Doctor
Warnings: None, will update if need to
A fixed-up portable record player and taped up record later, the Doctor was sitting at a table outside with papers spread around him and listening to a warped (literally as the record was indeed not a flat disk) rendition of Debussy's Clair de Lune. As much as he had been keeping to himself, he was content being a Time Lord once again. Taking that first breath when his eyes opened and his hearts pounded, with the noise and static of time lines and endless possibilities surrounding him, it was comforting.
He had tried analyzing his notes previously about the wind and the data he had collected, but he couldn't grasp the concepts of analysis as a human. It was just looking at numbers and random notes, and even then he struggled to process as half of them were written in his native Gallifreyan. "Numbers and figures..." He commented, humming a Coldplay tune for a moment as he chewed on the end of his pen, lost in thought.
But he was determined to help his friends here; to find a way out as he had once before.

"It was overwhelming. Too much information all at once."

"Don't worry. I'll get us out here somehow. I did it once before, I can do it again."
no subject
"It's not all bad here though. I mean, I got to see you again, and I got to meet Cas and Kenz and everyone." A sigh. "I miss Gramps though." No mention of Sylvia or her fiancé though, despite still wearing her engagement ring.
no subject
"And how do you know they're perverts?" He feels there's a story somewhere in there, but wasn't sure he wanted to hear it.
no subject
It's a valid point. Maybe slightly exaggerated, but valid.

He released his hold from Donna as he straightened up his suit jacket, "So very scrutinized." He mused to himself, poking his tongue at his inner cheek.

"Well, we are their guinea pigs..."

Still, it didn't stop her looking at it intently and pretending she understood. "Interesting."

It suddenly hits her that maybe, just maybe she hasn't been missing Shaun as much as she should be.
Ouch. Talk about crushing guilt.
Any sign of a smile drops from her face and she hands the notes back to him.

"Oi! Watch the hair, mister!" She ruffles his in return.

But perhaps he'll figure out the most important question: WHY are they here and WHO is watching them.
no subject
"Shut up, you prawn." He'll probably just jinx himself otherwise. "At least in the meantime, until your super brain finds us a way home then the company around here is mostly decent. And the eye candy... Have I mentioned the eye candy!?"

"I've got a date. Well, not a date-date. But I'm having drinks with a gorgeous guy!"
Not quite as gorgeous as the Doctor, but he doesn't need to know that. His ego is plenty big enough, and Donna is more than happy to keep that tidbit of information to herself, thank you very much.

He was such a hound for gossip. It was awful, and even worse when he pretended not to care, but actually did.
no subject
"But no, it's with a lovely gentleman named Balthazar."
no subject
And at her answer, he pauses for a moment, trying to recall that name. Then it struck him, "He was that leviathan! He didn't bite you, did he?" The Doctor takes her arm, inspecting it closely as if looking for answers.
no subject
She flails and tugs her arm back with a huff. "Nobody has been biting me, thank you very much!"

"You fancy him? I suppose he's nice. Bit creepy, actually, but hopefully that was his ailment." A pause, "You don't want me trailing you in the shrubbery, do you?"
no subject
She shoots him a glare. "If I catch your hedgehog head poking out of any bushes I will slap you into next week, mister. I don't need a babysitter."
