The city
The way they're walking has him nervous, looking over his shoulder. Whatever they're afraid of, Dean should be afraid of too, right?
day 87
"Hello?" He turns and walks toward Dean, but realizes the figures were acting different than they had the previous time; like in a hurry or avoidance. Something felt entirely different here.

"Hey," he calls, and then watches as a figure moves away from him. Dean tries to focus on it, whatever it is, but he can't, almost gets a headache trying. The Doctor's easier to focus on, and he needs to give his eyes a rest.
"Guess you climbed the Big Rock Candy Mountain too, huh?" That's right; Dean was trying to get here. He wanted to be here. He has questions about this place.

"I've been here before... but the 'people' weren't acting like this. They avoided us like we were a nuisance and walked around us. This time it's like they do know we're here..." He recognized this man also from the cape, and it begged to wonder if something bigger was happening. The Doctor didn't sleep or dream much, but lately he had, and it's been all people from the village.

Wait... This is a place; Dean was trying to get here. He's been here before too, and he thinks there's something suspicious about it, at least if no one's owning up to ever having dreamt about it before. Most of the things he's hopped into, or had someone join up with him, have made some kind of sense. This doesn't.
He turns around, scanning as far as he can into the distance, but it just seems like more of the same.
"They're nervous about something. Can't tell if I'm getting it off of them, or they're just freaking me out. You say you've been here before. You know what this place is? I'm trying to figure out whose dream this is supposed to be."
no subject
"I've been to a similar place before, Midnight. Diamond-based geology, sapphire waterfalls, but you couldn't see any of it with the naked eye. You'd go blind. But this is different... Perhaps still in the Xion star system, but I'd have to have the TARDIS to look that up."
He watches as more people quickly pass, "I wonder why we're seeing this place."
no subject
He tries to approach one of the figures, but they move past him and he's left watching them, then turning around again to see if he can see anything else here -- anything at all -- but it's all the same.
"Do you think this is something we're supposed to see, or do you think it's something that slipped in through the cracks?"
no subject
He vaguely wondered if he thought hard enough, he could make the TARDIS appear, and he wished he could, but it really wouldn't make a difference. The Doctor was growing really tired really fast of these games.
no subject
"Well, they sure don't make it easy for us to figure out what the hell this is supposed to mean."
