When it crumbles, we will stand tall

Who: Fortescue, Charlie, & open
Where: Anywhere in the Cape!
When: Day 100, 101 (aka anytime during the blackout)
What: Looking for anything suspicious and checking to see if folks are all right. (Feel free to encounter her anywhere.)

Perhaps it's a symptom of being trapped (albeit in a less flashy manner) before, but the power outage, the longer it goes on, drives at Fortescue's nerves. Her conversation with Ned cycles through her mind, making her ponder if the whole thing is an accident or on purpose, and so she finds herself wandering around town more than usual. The force keeping them in is still there, and of course turning things over doesn't give her more information. But in the dark, the pitch dark, it's even easier to snatch people out of houses.

Darkness isn't an issue for a magus. She slips into her own house to check in with her roommates, to make sure they're both still there, and then slips outside — and into the shadows themselves. A power outage isn't too bad during the day, but at night is when it really sinks in. She wanders the Cape, unnoticed except by supernatural eyes, and satisfies the tension she feels by checking in on dark homes to see if anyone needs any assistance. She can create fire, after all, and this is no time to hold back on her magic. When near homes, she slips back out and walks on the normal physical plane — but on high alert, senses sweeping the area as best human senses can.

Of course, then there's that whole debacle of the sea monster.

Checking up on people seems even more important in the wake of the chaos, and so Fortescue, Jazz trotting behind her as always, all but commits the Cape's layout to sense memory as she prowls.
