Everything about this house was born to grow and die.
Who: Anita Blake & Alec McDowell
When: Day 116
What: Checking in and dealing with the loss of their third housemate.
Where: House 10
"Hey."
Anita sighed heavily as she stood outside Alec's bedroom door, arms folded save for the brief moment where she lifted one hand to knock. Allison had been missing for a couple of days now, long enough that they knew for sure that it wasn't just incidental, that she was gone and their makeshift little family was down to two. Unfortunate, to say the least. Alec wasn't the only one missing her, but Anita was more than ready to point out that he was being unnecessarily petulant.
She grimaced, knocking again, louder this time.
"Alec, if you don't come out, I'm coming in. I don't care if you're wearing pants or not."

"That's not fair. I'm never allowed in the room when you two didn't wear pants." Women. He does unlock the door and retreat to the bed again. He's not really moping in his eyes. He's laying in bed drinking directly from the last bottle of booze that he has left. It's completely normal, Anita. Don't make this any weirder than it needs to be. "Would you make me a sandwich?"

She sighed, letting herself in once he opens the door and helping herself to a seat on the edge of his bed. Personal space is not really a concern right now.
"Have I ever made you a sandwich?" No, Alec. The answer is 'no.' "You can't just sit in here and sulk all day. And you're going to kill your liver. Give me that." She grimaced, reaching to try and snatch the bottle from him.
