What: Present giving! The Secret Santa reveal, and anyone who wants to have a christmas party is welcome to join too!
Notess: Party style thread guys, so go nuts. No order, everything is chaos, tag to your hearts content, feel free to break off into separate threads, and no spiking the punch! Also I think she's sort of mentioned it to a bunch of people but want to do me some lovely favours and handwave the actual name drawing? I will backtag if people want but it seems a little pointless to thread that out.


There's another message on the network that morning from Anna, just audio again. It's about as garbled as her first one regarding the Secret Santa idea, but for anyone who is listening closely enough they'll make out a few details. Namely this evening, town hall, and bring your presents before she shuts it off.

She's spent the rest of the day trying to do what she can to make the place look nicer. She's hardly got Christmas decorations on tap, but she's done what she can with what she has all the same. There's paper snow flakes up around the place, some of the food from her house placed in bowls to make it more party-appropriate, and it's no fir but she has relocated a small tree from the edge of the woods and placed it in the hall. Barely decorated, not even the right kind of tree, it's the best she can do with the resources she's been given.

Now all there is to do is wait for people to come.

"Where'd you find a sweater?!" Party Poison is completely scandalized, because not only does Fun Ghoul have a sweater, but it's also in fucking technicolor. Party had to physically alter all the shit he found. He enacts a clothing tax, coming up behind Ghoul and sticking his cold hands underneath that sweater to press into that warm belly, oh fuck yes.

"In the fuckin' AHH-attic-- You frosty bitch!" Cold hands. Cold hands! Not cool, Party. Oh, but he's smiling. Grinning from ear to ear. "Maybe if you were a little faster, you'd be lookin' fine as all hell and donnin' this gay apparel."

Meanwhile, he's just gonna pry those icy fingers away from all his warmth.

"Maybe if you weren't such a greedy fuck, you would share like a big boy!" Fine, fine! He slides his hands away from Ghoul's skin, but keeps picking at his sweater. "Like eighty-percent sure the attics are all fuckin haunted anyway. What else's up there?"

"Just stick close to me, P. We're festive as fuck right now." See? With that red hair and this green sweater? Perfect. "Lots o'shit. Boxes of dusty treasure. Help me clean it out. What's a ghost gonna do that ain't been done to you before, huh?"

"Yeah, but the ghost does it ghosty." This wiggle of his fingers refers to supernatural goings-on. Party slides his arm through Ghoul's, head bowing to tack on his shoulder. He's pink-cheeked from drink, much warmer in the face than in his hands. "I'll help you out, I guess, why not?"

Elbows him hard. "Who'd you get?"

Yeah, alright. Ghoul can see what Kobra was saying about this place. This is how it should be. Only two things missing. Two really fucking important things. He sniffs, wiping at his nose with the back of his hand, and shoves his hands in his pockets, keeping Party's arm close.

"The Outsider. You know 'em?"

There is something to it, isn't there? But we don't talk about it. Let's not talk about it. "The Outsider." Party repeats in a chuckle. "Nah. Did he bring Soda Pop with him?"

"I don't think he brought anyone, he's The Outsider." It's impossible to not use an ominous voice when saying that name. It's hilarious. "He's probably outside right now. Because... Outsider."

Like they have room to talk in the names department.

"Don't even know what this guy looks like."

"A superhero." Party suggests helpfully, which wouldn't surprise him--there seem to be a lot of superheroes here! Speaking of: "You're obviously shit at meeting people, but you talked to Bruce?"

"Cape and tights? Shouldn't be hard to spot." Wow. Rude. "I met people! Tall people, pretty people, people obsessed with meeting up in dark alleys."

Bruce wasn't one of those people as far as he remembers. He shakes his head. "should I find him?"

"No." The response is quick, sure, and his arm tightens around Ghoul's as he looks around. Of course, Bruce is fucking chatting it up with the Kobra Kid. Natch. Whatever, he won't hurt him, just-- "There. With the Kid, you see him?"

Party's reaction is enough to set him on edge. His smile slips and he searches the crowd for KK and this mystery guy that's got Party fucking Poison all shook up-- "THAT guy? The mousy lookin' guy over there? That's Bruce? ... what about him?" Son, have you lost your shit? Any of them could take him easily. What the hell is he talking about.

"Just--" A moment of quiet as he watches the two at distance. "Look, just step lightly, right? I'm not joking. You copy?"

"... Yeah. I copy." Messed in the head or not, there is a time to listen to listen to Party. Ghoul can usually tell when he says shit he doesn't mean and when he means shit he doesn't say. He nods, keeping his eyes on the Kid, and sways poisonward. "So what didja get me?"

Oooh, a scowl. With his free hand, he pinches the back of Ghoul's arm. "Didn't getchu anything, Christmas is bullshit. I just did Anna and left it alone."

"Christmas is fuckin' magical! People giving other people stuff any not wanting anything for it. It's beautiful, man. Admit it. That's not bullshit. That's beautiful." But oooooh Anna. Ghoul's grinning like an idiot. "She's pretty nice."

"She's alright. Better than her fuckin--housemates. Whatever. I drew her name, if I wanna give people shit, I'll give them shit, I don't need a designated 'giveday.'"

"So I'll be expecting my shit tomorrow, then. Bright and early. Better be good, huh? Because I'm worth it." His free hand slips out of his pocket and grabs Party by the chin to make him nod his head in agreement.

"F--stop!" He jams his palm in Ghoul's face. "I'm givin you coal, cuz yer a fuckin brat, is what I'm givin you!"

"Coal? Fuckin-- where the hell are you even gonna get coal anyway? Don't give me coal. Baby, I been so good all year! I been a prince t'you! You're the brat." Only brats shove hands in people's faces. Well behaved boys and girls get their friends in a headlock and go to town with knuckles against red, red hair. Enjoy!

"Christ--christ! Okay, diamonds! I'll hunt a fuckin boar, you want a boar? I'll make it happen! G, cut it out!" He has an image to maintain!

Heh. Alright, alright. He releases him and slaps him on the back, right between the shoulder blades. His hand just stays where it is after that. The mock gasp that comes out of him is pure daytime soap opera shit, but the cocky fuckin' grin that follows it is pure Fun Ghoul.

"Diamonds? Didn't even know ya cared an' now you wanna put a ring on it? Dunno if I wanna be tied down! This is so sudden-- you didn't even get down on one knee-- Okay, I accept!"

Party grimaces and stretches, massaging his own neck because Ghoul just hurt him so badly. "Alright. I just gotta find me a mine then. Getchu that shinier coal. That puts you on daddy duty, right? Cuz mama needs a little help tonight."

"Y'never had much trouble finding deep, dark holes before." He leans over and whispers real close, "I believe in you."

But daddy duty, huh? He shrugs. Yeah. Why not. "If you're talking about our Kid, when don't I help?" And if he's not... seriously, when doesn't he help? "He been talkin' to many people?" About them, he means. Saying things that maybe shouldn't be said. Letting information slip. Giving them ammo against their crew.

He totally doesn't shiver and Kobra Kid isn't misbehaving. Not now, anyway. Party's fingers dart up over his ear to rub away the tickle where Ghoul's whispering stirred it up, and he grins. "Both the Kids, iffen y'don't mind. Look, no biggie, just--you think you can keep'm both away from my room tonight?"
